Fatal error: Allowed memory size

I am having trouble when working with drupal actually up on the server. Everytime I save something it gives me this error. * "Fatal error*: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 45 bytes) in */data/16/1/19/132/1508295/user/1622796/htdocs/wordpress/sewerratracing/includes/database.mysql.inc* on line *160" *it seems to be a different path every time but the same message.* *has anyone encounterd this? and have any solotions? Dynamic remote database access

I know that the "standard" way to access another database is to include it in $db_url in the settigs.php file. This has the undesireable effect that the remote database must be available all the time. In my case, we only need to access the remote DB a few times a week via a cron job, where much better error handling is available. I haven't yet found a way (I'm still searching DO) to do this. Does anyone have any good ideas? This is Drupal 6 - don't bother suggesting an upgrade. Replication is probably not an option because we shouldn't have access to, nor need, everything in the remote DB. Nancy Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. -- Dr. Martin L. Multiple fields in a table rather than one per table?

Hi, I am wanting to create some custom fields in the user profile but it seems that D7 creates a new table for each field which isn't logical in some instances.. For example I want to get users to put in their addresses on their user profiles.. So I want to have fields for.. House number Address line 1 Address line 2 County / State Country Code By default this would create 6 tables.. How do I get D7 to create a single table with the 7 fields? Thanks for any help..

altering views settings programmatically

What to do about "Not supported!" modules?

Well, having found my Modules page (thank you for the answers to that question) I have set about updating the modules on this Drupal site. I'm using drush to do it so it's mostly pretty simple, however I'm now left with a few modules that say "Not supported!" on the Modules page in Drupal and about which drush says "Installed version not supported". They are the following:- Legal 6.x-2.2-beta4 6.x-8.5 Installed version not supported Login one time 6.x-1.3 6.x-2.7 Installed version not supported Service links 6.x-1.0 6.x-2.0 Installed version not supported If I ask drush to update them (it seems that it will, I tried it to see what would happen but stopped it before it actually did the update) is it likely that all will be well? It doesn't look as if they're particularly old versions. -- Chris Green

New drupal administrator - can't find Site Building -> Modules

I have just moved and taken over the administration of a Drupal (6.16) web site. It's all working OK but, among other things, there are a number of modules clamouring for security updates. I've read around the documentation and I think I can see the basics of how to do it (I have shell access to the hosting site which makes things relatively easy). However there is one rather fundamental problem (or at least that's the way it looks to me at the moment), there is no Administer -> Site Building -> Modules page. I have the other Administer -> Site Building pages, it's just the Modules one that is missing. Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this please. -- Chris Green

Ubercart - Extra pane on Checkout

Views, panels etc

Dear All, Just a beginner still. I am trying to put up a 2 column page filled with a content type called *screenshots,* which consists of an image (screenshot) and a field called *description. *When I look at this content type alone I can see the image and the description.Yet when I put it into a panel or a view I only see the image. I have the view rendered as a simple node I assume. Do I have to go to a tabular rendering in order to get the description field to appear? Or what am I missing? Thanks Tony

Paypal IPN required ?

Dear All, I am configuring Ubercart with paypal as payment method. While reading online forums I understand that there not need to configure IPN. So my question is how I confirm whether my oder is pending or completed ? As of now my order status (after shopping completed) is Pending. Though customer can received mail with account's details (user/pass) and user can login and can check order status ( which is pending ). If I changed that manually from Pending to Completed then only it assign Roles to the customer. I have tested both payment methods: WPS & Paypal Pro. Drupal 7.4 issue

Hi, I'm installing Drupal 7.4 But getting following error: File system The directory *sites/default/files* is not writable. An automated attempt to create this directory failed, possibly due to a permissions problem. To proceed with the installation, either create the directory and modify its permissions manually or ensure that the installer has the permissions to create it automatically. For more information, see INSTALL.txt or the online handbook <http://drupal.org/server-permissions>. OK Unicode library PHP Mbstring Extension Error Settings file The settings file does not exist. The Drupal installer requires that you create a settings file as part of the installation process. Copy the *./sites/default/default.settings.php* file to * ./sites/default/settings.php*. More details about installing Drupal are available in INSTALL.txt <http://127.0.0.1/drupal-7.4/INSTALL.txt>. I did : chmod a+w sites/default mkdir sites/default/files chmod a+w sites/default/files And also this: cp sites/default/default.settings.php sites/default/settings.php chmod a+w sites/default/settings.php Even then the error remains as it is. I looked into drupal forum but no one has got proper solution. I'm installing it on Fedora 14. Can it be SELinux issue?
