Multisite using shared database

User role in registration form in drupal

Log-in problems

I have been logging in as admin to work on our drupal site for months and Sunday afternoon logged in as a user. I find that there is no way to log out of that user to get back to admin. Any suggestions please? If I can get back to admin privileges I can put up an admin log out menu block. Many thanks Roger

Writing header to csv file with bulk operations

I have a case where I need to flag a certain list of nodes and export data from them to a CSV file so it can be imported into another application. My plan has been to use Views Bulk Operations with a custom action. I had looked that VBO export to CSV functionality, but the problem is that it only exports the fields that have been added to the view, and I only want to add the items to the view that help the user select the appropriate items. In addition, there is a large number of items in each node, and so once I need to identify the items and then go get the data. The problem I'm having is that the action is run through once for each node, but I need to create the file somewhere and add the header before I start writing node data to the file. Is there a way that I can call this function before I start writing the node data to it without writing the header out for each line? I'm sure there's a semi-obvious solution, but late on Saturday night, my brain's not coming up with one. Thanks. Steve

Access user/role after login

Thanks Brian. Yes that seems to be what's needed. I'll explore the creation of landing pages. I do not mind if it needs additional modules, any clean way of achieving it would be a great help. I haven't found any suitable modules for this. Yes pre login is the awkward part. I don't have the understanding of Drupal yet to set up filter blocks (with menus) by role, is there a tut on how to do that sort of thing? What if member's login produced a menu from which a user/role could be selected and to access that required another password.. would that work? If so how would I set up the second password request. The Devel Generate module also does this, though it's a semi-secret. Why would one role be able to click collapsible fieldsets....and another role couldn't?

I know the answer to this is blindingly obvious but I've been very deep in the drupal forest in the last few weeks and can't see any individual trees anymore! High role (admin!) can see clickable link which expands a fieldset. Log out Log in as any other role - link has turned into red text, no link, can't expand. is it something on the permissions page that would do this? it's not my template...I do have a couple of php conditionals wrapping the fieldset but it's nothing to do with roles <?php if ($node->field_team_coordinates[0]['value']) : ?> <?php if ($page != 0): ?> 1. only show fieldset if field is filled out 2. only show fieldset on node view, not on index pages, teasers, etc. what could be un-hyperlinking the fieldset? Using Drupal 6.19 We have a generic member's login for group members with password and user based on a current newsletter publication but this does not facilitate different pages depending on user. In our system certain users each have a role/responsibility. 6 coordinators who input calendar events for their particular State or Region. 6 coordinators update page displays for their State or Territory 12 reviewers who each review one of the above and approve or not, but do not have editing permissions. None of the above have admin permission. Permissions are tight and only for the explicit role. It is intended that the menus for each will provide only: Create content, edit, review, approve, send back, unpublish as appropriate for the role. The coordinator can see the page he/she is working on, but must be able to see the 'as if live' page before submitting it. Primarily because the cck editor does not present good representation of a live preview. The reviewer receives notification, views the completed page 'as if' it were live and approves/publishes or sends back for editing. Each of the above has their own user name and password. A reviewer for a particular region would use for example, 'reviewer-victoria' as the user name 'some_password' as the password Question: How can I set up a log in for each role so that it presents the appropriate log in page and menu, specific to that user login? The menu system I think I can do ok but I cannot find how to present the correct login page per user. Thanks in advance Roger

I have the content type set so only authenticated users can submit it. But it was still visible to non-authenticated users (my mistake), so if you fill out the form anonymously, it didn't create a node accessible through Drupal content management, but did enter values in the database, which the view was picking up. Not totally sure what is happening here because I have a filter set to display "published content" only in the view. But I do believe that's the issue. installing a test server on a machine running Windows 7 - 64 bits OS

Hello Support: The steps listed on the help page for setting up a test site mention XAMPP, as the easiest way to install drupal for the purposes of running a test site. It also indicates that the steps listed there are relevant for the installation of a test server on a machine running Windows Vista or Windows XP. The machine which I intend to use to run my test site runs Windows 7 64-bits OS; are the steps listed on http://drupal.org/node/307956 "Simple install of Drupal on XAMPP" equally applicable, or is there something I need to look out for before proceeding with the installation? In a comment page, somebody suggested using Microsoft's WPI instead of XAMPP (but the comment was recorded in June) does anybody have suggestions/thoughts on this point? Thanks for your help, Elena
