Hi, I wanna know how to add a new page based on a new item on the navigation menu list. I am very new to drupal. Also, can u suggest some good books/tutorials on the same. I have an old version e-book(5).. currently, I have installed drupal6.8 successfully. But cant really work much on it due to lack of good support learning it thanks, Radhika

Duplicate Entry

Hey, I have searched around online and not found anything about this. I am getting this error when I access my site logged in as me. If you go to www.denverdataman.com not logged in it works just fine or at least no error is shown to the user. user warning: Duplicate entry '237595' for key 1 query: INSERT INTO accesslog (title, path, url, hostname, uid, sid, timer, timestamp) values('Recent log entries', 'admin/logs/watchdog', 'http://www.denverdataman.com/admin/logs/watchdog', '67.190.5.230', 1, '25c7d7324789e378b9c4fc9c2e66922e', 640, 1229753327) in /home/kadimaso/public_html/denverdataman/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 174. When I look in the Watchdog log (admin/logs/watchdog) I see many times that is message is coming up. Any ideas what to do about it? Upgrade version jumping

With all this talk about Drupal upgrades, I have a question on behalf of all us lazy maintainers... Is there anything which speaks against skipping over versions in a minor version upgrade? Such as upgrading directly from 6.5 to 6.9? I can't think of any logical reason I would have to go to 6.6, 6.7 etc...? This is a cross post in the forums. After starting Drupal 6.8 upgraded from 5.14, the sequence at bottom occurs. According to the incomplete and cryptic comments in the several issues found in the forums, there is apparently a table or tables that do not get updated. The roof caves in when the password is entered. My question is: How to identify the offending items from this goop? Drupal as a PHP development framework?

Hello, Can you use Drupal core as a PHP development framework? Suppose you want to create a custom in-house web application which is not necessarily going to be a Drupal module. What would you use? I am the maintainer of a custom PHP application. It's quite poorly written and I'm stuck maintaining it. I have been thinking that I'd like to rewrite it from scratch. I don't *need* any third party software to rewrite it, but it occurred to me that the final product might be better if I used a good PHP development framework. So I started googling for PHP application frameworks and I hit a Wikipedia page saying that some people use Drupal as a development framework. So I thought I'd ask about that here. Any thoughts? I don't have a solid idea of what I'm looking for. I'm just looking to see what's available. Cheers, Daniel.

Upgrading Drupal

Hello, If I am upgrading Drupal 5.9 to 5.14 do I still have to disable the modules before the upgrade? Should I be worried that data might get lost if I disable a module? Cheers, Daniel.

Views, comments, $links

My client has requested so many modifications to the blog display that I've ended up disabling core blog altogether. Instead, I'm building all the required displays from views. I notice, though, that the view that displays the user's "blog page", which lists the ten most recent entries in full node display, lacks any reference in $links to the comments. Should it be there, or must I have turned it off somewhere? If not, then I'm going to have to add it into the template for the blog_post content type I created. In that case, I need to know the path to the comments for a node.

how to browse files and folders?

Hi, I don't know if this is a drupal problem or something regarding apache settings. I'd like to have a folder where users can download files, go to other subfolder, but not delete, modify or create files. This feature is often given by apache itself, I believe. But, if I go to www.mysite.com/files/ I obtained a page not found, given by drupal. files is the folder that contain all my files, and this is the path that drupal uses for public method. If I write into my browser a correct filename, I can download it without problem, but if I put only te folder, instead of having the index I have the page not found error. Any suggestions? Recolorable Themes

Hello, First steps with Drupal 6. I have a theme called Pixture that is supposed to be a "recolorable" theme. How do I change the colours? The default is purple and I want it blue. I am at the theme configuration page, but I don't see anything. Help? Daniel.

It does...just enable Color modul from optional core modules and you will be able to change the colors in Pixture. You will find that the Color module does not change everyrhing.
