Disable 'Read more...'

With some of my pages I always want to show the whole content, with no summary. I've worked out that I can use the 'split at cursor' to define where the summary ends (i.e. at the end of the page) but is there a way of not displaying 'read more' if there is no more? Thanks.

extended upload modul?

Hello all, I'm fairly new to this mailinglist and Drupal. I administer a community website where we need advanced functionality with file uploads: 1. we want to have a possiblity for easy uploading files, without creating content. 2. allowed user should be able to browse the content of the upload folder. 3. it would be nice to have the possibility to create a folder hirachy to sort the files into categories 4. a interface with the version control system bazaar? would be nice to have :-). I'm not sure if the normal upload modul can do all of this? Are there some other moduls that extend the upload functionality of Drupal? Michael

sql query and other

Hi, I have a big problem. I have a ejournal in my website and I have about 1000 articles. Unfortunately, some of these are token from a website that has changed its policy and don't allow us to publish its material: only the 25% of articles can be published. We can distinguish these articles because there is always the original link that obviously starts with the same strings. We must select all the articles containing these strings in their body, and tells drupal to take the first 4 5 lines and delete the rest of contents. I have 2 ideas, but I' not able to make it: 1. with a sql query, I think all contents are in the node_revisions table. 2. publishing only the teaser of the article. I think the second method is easier, but have you got some ideas how publish only a teaser and hide the entire body of some nodes? thanks for your attention and patience. Bye.

PayPal Gone Haywire?

I have a Drupal 5 site with E-Commerce 5.x-3.3 which has been up and working for while, like a year maybe. Today they write me and say people can't pay. I checked it out and the site is fine, BUT when I click to pay and it sends me to paypal.com, I get a blank page. IE and FF. I asked them to send me the password for their account so I can call PayPal and TRY to speak to a human, but do any humans here know anything about this? Seems to me that something happened at PayPal. Maybe it's just temporary? Thanks.

Contact Exposing Destination Addresses?

Hello It may be that I just never noticed this before, but in contact 5.12 running on Drupal 5.12, it seems that addresses provided to contact as the destination for categories, are being shown to the user as the From: and Reply-To: of the auto response. To-wit: >X-Mailer: Drupal >Errors-To: my_site_return@address >Sender: my_site_return@address >Reply-To: category@destination_address >From: category@destination_address >Subject: [category] message_subject I thought that the site return address should be the address provided in all cases. The whole point of using the contact module for a site wide contact form, is so that addresses such as the category destination addresses are _not_ revealed to communicants. I am 99% sure that this behavior is new to 5.12, and did not appear in 5.7, which is what I am running on other sites. Might this be a configuration error somewhere? Thanks and regards, Luke

Adding link to image (logo style)

hi I decided to remove the logo php code and go for a region that will host the image of my logo/name. I can easily add an image via css to the region class but to have a link bringing back to "home" i have to use html code in a block added to that region.That works but i d like, if possible to use php page.tpl.php and/or css to place the linked image, how can i accomplish that? thanks Simone -- .wmv , .wma , .pps along with all proprietary Windows formats won t be accepted and/or viewed....

Drupal API - Create user

Hello, I'm reading the Drupal API for creating a new user: http://api.drupal.org/api/function/user_save/5 I have a few questions: 1) If I'm creating a new user, can I just set $account to be an empty array? 2) Which fields do I have to put in $array? Which fields are optional? I ran user_fields() to figure out what fields are available for $array. This is what I got: User fields: uid, name, pass, mail, mode, sort, threshold, theme, signature, created, access, login, status, timezone, language, picture, init, data I plan to include only name, pass, mail and login. Is it ok to exclude the others? I don't even know what some of the other fields are. 3) If I want to make a custom script that uses the Drupal API, which file do I need to include? I can't just include "user.module", clearly that file depends on others. Thanks, Daniel.

Hi All, We've just installed Drupal 6.7 for our new site with php 4.4 and MySQL 5 and sessions don't work. We were on postgres 7.4 and sessions worked, switching to MySQL (can't go back) and sessions broke. Hi all. I need to import some blog's node from another site. Redirect with .htaccess not working

Hello, I have used Drupal for over a year and a half. Sometime around last year I moved to "clean urls" and then I deleted a page /?q=node/1 I have been trying to set up a .htaccess file to redirect this page and I can't seem to do it like this: RewriteRule ^/?q=node/1$ http://www.example.com/node/34 [R=301,L] Other than the redirect above and a few others my .htaccess is the same as the default. It doesn't work and I don't quit know enough about .htaccess to solve it. Any idea of what I am doing wrong? Should this be done another way? Links or suggestions are appreciated. =) Thanks, J
