Front Page

I've create a page-front.tpl.php to specifically change how this front-page should look. This works fine. The default page.tpl.php is the standard and that also works fine. I am also running clean-urls and turned on the Path module (all in Apache 2.0.x and PHP mind you). The problem is that when I go to http://localhost/mysite .... yes this shows: page-front.tpl.php However, if I go to http://localhost/mysite/default.htm ... then it shows page.tpl.php .... which is NOT what I want. How can I tell Drupal 5.5, that these are both the same front page so I get the right page template? I wonder if I should just have a page-nid.tpl.php to solve the issue? Thanks! Tom

Module to create a form to subscribe to pdf newsletter

I've been looking in the available modules for Drupal 5 for the following simple functionality. I post a newsletter in pdf format in my site, and I want to have next to it a "subscribe" link, which if clicked will open a form where the registered or anonymous user can enter his subscription information to receive new issues by email. If submitted the user will get an email to confirm his subscription (to avoid submitting someone else's email) and once confirmed the email address will be added to a mailing list, which the admin can use to send the newsletter in the future. I've been looking at different existing modules, the closest I found is "simplenews" but it seems to only send a "html" newsletter. So: 1) is there a module to do this in Drupal 5? 2) do I need an external mailing list handling system to do this, or can I do it all within drupal (create the table with emails addresses, let user's add themselves through the subscription link, let the admin mass-email the pdf file to the email addresses in the table) I will also need options for users to auto opt-out from the subscription, also for anonymous users if I let them subscribe. -- Walter Garcia-Fontes Barcelona

moving field in type of content

Hi everybody, speaking about the type of contents, i would like to know if it is possible to move some fields like the body or the taxonomy (fixed by default), or even introduce them in a created group. User register form in 2 page or call my function for submit

Hi all. I want to modify the user registration in 2+ steps or better: I want that the form that new user use for registration (/user/register) is splitted in 2+ page. This because via profile module I have added 15 new field. I know that I can write a form splitted in 2 page (I read "Pro Drupal Development), but I don't want to create the register form from zero. I have tried to delete the $form['#submit'] value via hook_form() but with no results. Is there a way to do this without create a new module for user_register ? Showing Blocks on Specific Pages

I've created a number of blocks, and after reading my Pro Drupal Development book and The Packt Drupal book, I'm wondering how I can make blocks show on certain pages. I know 'front' is the front page, 'admin' is the admin section. Is there a list of these standard words. Again, I am using the standard Path module and Clean Url's so I have various nodes (Page content types) set to different paths like node-id 101 is 'about.htm' So, if I want blocks to be on just this page 'about.htm', then what would I put in the 'show on this page'? I tried 'about.htm' but that didn't really work. If someone can just point me in the right direction, that would be great! Thanks!

Drupal's module crash IE7. But which ?

Hi, I have Drupal 5.5 site and IE7 crash. I use Linux and Firefox so, I have not IE7, but some friends say me that there is a script that loop. Does someone have/had same problem ? Any RTFM ? PayPal module

Hi group Im looking for a good paypal module I tested Simple paypal, but I didnt like it And now I need it to work with Drupal 6. There is any avaiable? Should work with IPN. that one apear to do that http://drupal.org/project/lm_paypal but aparently was abandoned, its not finished even to D5 :( TIA Feijó

Nodes not saved but I don't understand why.

Hi all. I have this problem: some nodes (of one of my contents type) that my user insert from add content are not stored into DB. When the user press to the "Publish" botton I see the POST in httpd-access log, but the user is not redirect to the new node, but to homepage without message of any type. Most of these errors are from anonymous users. I have search into DB via phpmyadmin and I see that there is an entry only for "node" table. Where Drupal save the body ? In node_access I have this : nid gid realm grant_view grant_update grant_delete 0 0 all 1 0 0 How can I undestrand where is the problem ? I have tried to "play" with access controll but nothing. Looking for a simple "jukebox" type module

Hello, I'm looking for a simple module that will allow me to play audio files on my drupal website. I only need it to display a button for each track, and maybe a volume or mute control. any one know of a module that can do this? Thanks Idan

How to remove story desc from front page?
