Hello All, I did search for various hosting services. But many reply on forum looks like fake. So I want to know any "real" opinion for Host Gator ?? Specially for drupal related websites. ( Ubercart, Gallery, other forum, Open Atrium, etc ) Because my 95% sites are drupal sites. Also on many server wont get "mail" support by default. We need smtp auth then that can send mails. ( which configuration process is time consuming )
what is your call for Host Gator ? I had seen lots of recommendation on forum for Drupal + Host Gator .
Thanks Amit Karpe.
I have used Hostgator and had to switch. After researching other hosting companies, I ended up with Webhostingpad. I was running into the php memory limit and needed more in order to run a custom module.
I altered my HG php settings and still had my problem. After contacting support, I was told that in no way could the memory limit be raised above the maximum (64M) allowed without moving to a dedicated server.
I have to admit Hostgator's support is great. They responded to my issues quickly and were very professional. While I had to move to Webhostingpad because of the PHP memory limit, the support isn't as good as Hostgator.
If you are not worried about the php memory limit, I highly recommend Hostgator. If you need more than the 64M memory limit, Webhostingpad is a good option.
I hope this helps gerald

I'm a very happy customer at http://Canvasdreams.com
The guys who run it are very conscious of the whole green, sustainability movement, and they strive for all kinds of methods to reduce their electrical and disposals. I've met them personally [they also live in Portland like me, so not hard to do] -- They are small, highly servicable, engaged in networking with everyone and thus "in the know", and very friendly.
They offer full admin of your site [SSH, DNS, PHPmyAdmin etc], and everything you need for Drupal.
I don't work for them, I'm just a customer; after being screwed over by other providers that would oversell their services... so far my sites all run much faster now that I switched to their site.
Good luck!
Seb.

Hello,
I have a book created for each department. I also have some views created that need to be contained within a book so that the view is referenced within the Table of Contents book navigation....
Is there an easy way to do this?
I apologize if this is a really no-brainer one!
Thanks,
Leslie
Leslie and all,
I think the insert_view module is what you need. The book modules requires a node in order to become a part of it's hierarchy.
Insert_view uses an input filter to insert a view into a node. The syntax is well documented and easy to use.
With D6 and Views 2 "attachment" functionality, there are use cases that you can now do within Views that used to require insert_view. However, your use-case cannot be done with attachments and is a use case in which the insert_view module still makes sense.

Hello Drupaler, Thank for sharing your experience. Thanks gerald, Mattew, Sebastian, Kieran. Now I am going to buy Host Gator for 1 month "Baby Plan". So one month is good for testing. Also if you get any coupon then that one month is almost free.

I don't know anything about Host Gator but I'm using http://www.networkredux.com/ and real happy with it. You can set up the server however you wish.
