Hi,
I've just now installed the latest version of drupal onto my web server. I set up the database and edited the appropriate settings file, but my installation doesn't work. I go to my new drupal website, click to register my first user, but nothing happens when I submit the form. Nothing happens when I try to submit a login form or a lost password form either; the pages just reload blank.
If you need more details, let me know, but I have a hunch this is a more common problem. I tried searching, but the best I could find was a post mentioning this problem and going on to explain a different similar problem the poster had.
Help is greatly appreciated.

First guess: You didn't set your base url correctly.

If you aren't getting any kind of error message or anything I would delete your cache and cookies. Are you getting the same results on a different browser? Can you look at the database and see whether or not anything was written to the database? I would start by trying to answer those questions. Someone else with more experience might have more suggestions.

I think this is because you have PHP in safe mode. It will then not return any errors. While you may have such errors.

Look in your error logs please, and paste any Drupal/PHP related errors.

It was my base url after all. I didn't put the www subdomain in front of the URL, but I was accessing the website from www.example.comhttp://www.example.com, not just example.com http://example.com.
