Drupal 6 doesn't like PHP 5.3
Snow Leopard comes with PHP5.3
what's everyone doing about it?
I tried installing a Marc Liyanage 5.2 PHP package, but that doesn't seem to work with Apache on SL.
Thought I'd ask before re-inventing the wheel.
TIA

MAMP or Acquia's installer.
for the record, Acquia control panel doesn't run in Snow Leopard. http://acquia.com/node/845748
;(
I'll try MAMP
MAMP Pro has been running just fine under OSX10.6.

Hi,
Basically I just used my MAMP installation.
Even in Leopard I used MAMP because I couldn't work out how to compile up additional extensions for PHP so either by compiling up my own apache/php or using MAMP.
Gordon.

Hi,
We should also look at why PHP 5.3 isn't working add fix up Drupal 6 to work with it, or provide a set of patches.
Gordon.

There's already an issue opened on it with lots of activity and patches:
While this will fix core, there are tons of contrib modules that don't work properly under PHP 5.3. That's where the nightmare is.
