is there anyway to restore a user1 account which has been deleted?
Regards
Larry
Hello
With apologies to Larry who I hope gets his question answered- I have picked this message at random to send this complaint out there in the hopes that someone can fix the problem.
I have tried many times and in many ways to UNSUBSCRIBE from this list for over a week now. Nothing works. I have tried to unsub through the link. I've emailed the lists email address and I've emailed Drupal using several of their email addresses but havent received even one response. Meanwhile I keep getting an email account full of messages from this list even though I have requested several times that it STOP!!! I dont even use Drupal anymore.
PLEASE! If anyone is reading this has responsibility for this list UNSUBSCRIBE ME IMMEDIATELY!
Thank you
Jacki

Larry,
The following assumes two things: 1. You can create a new account 2. You have access to the database for the site
First, create and activate your new account. Specifically, change (or make careful note of your automatically generated) password.
Then, access the users table in the db -- change the UID of your new user to 1.
Log in, and you're good to go.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Bill

Hill,
Thanks for this I have already sorted it. i had access to the database in phpmyadmin so created a user with UID 1 and the same username as before . I have since been able to log in and all my content is intact
Thanks and regards

Hi again
I HAVE followed the unsubscibe instructions...I tried to unsub via the list management page.......it didnt work. Thats why I'm getting a wee bit angry and why I have taken this unusual step of emailing to the list. Because I have tried EVERYTHING else.
The only thing I didnt do yet was add the drupal.org domain to my banned list which would involve reporting it as a spam address. I will probably do that now though since nothing else is working.
Sorry to interrupt you all. I will stop nattering on and you can all resume your usual viewing.
Cheers

A few days ago I unsubscribed an old mail without any problems.
Did you **really** not get that confirmation mail? Big chance you overlooked it, or that it ended up in your spamfilters.

Oh and also, no need to get so wound up about an emaillist not working all the way you think it should. If you are kind, and calm, please send a polite mail to the infrastructure lists. That is where those people hang out that have rights to delete users from the mailinglist useradmin.

I was about to post the same message! I don't use Drupal any more, but I can't unsubscribe from this list.
Whoever has the keys, please turn me off!
Thanks.

Might there be an issue involving the change of mailinglist? The drupal-support@drupal.org list was changed to support@drupal.org.

I just unsubscribed using the instructions included in the headers of every single list message.
So, the list is working fine. The problem lies elsewhere.
