I am using CKeditor and getting suddenly strange characters in my blocks. <div class="\"sidebarBlock\""> They only appear when I try to edit the source of course but nothing is changed in the appearance of my blocks. Meaning the class sidebar is still getting rendered properly. I tried changing to tinymce editor but the characters remain. I have been editing these blocks for weeks and have never seen these """ s. Are they supposed to be there? Can I turn them off? Thanks
You aren't by chance on Hostmonster hosting, are ya?

I'd check on what Earnie said then. You might want to try and disable WYSIWYG all together and see if it continues. I know Hostmonster made some changes today causing quotes to be double escaped, which that kind of looked like.

Followed the instructions as to the js file in the link belo. Changed full html editing from ckeditor to tinymce and back. Now I am getting this: "\"\\"sidebarBlock\\"\""> On steroids....! I will manually edit it and hope it doesn't pop up again.

Didn't help. They come right back. I am using pathologic. No HTML purifier. The urls are being replaced by slashes.

Now I deleted the entire line exclusive the text 'sidebarBlock' AND the quotation marks themselves "\"\\"sidebarBlock\\"\"" and added the proper URLs back in and it seems to be ok again.

Spoke too soon. As soon as I save the block they reappear. Not after I switch between source and text mode in the editor itself.

First, I have had tons of problems with any WYSIWYG editor in block code; if there is any way to not use an editor there, I would take it.
I assume that you are user/1, or at least an trusted user, so try switching to "Full HTML" or even no filter and see what happens.

Yes am admin. Have disabled wysiwyg. Have disabled CKEditor. Have even tried to set the filter to Display Suite Code, plus all the other filters. Have disabled pathlogic. Something is still inserting the backslashes before quotation marks. Could I have chosen some option somewhere that would do this? Crazy.
