Folks: I am having a problem with Nice Menus in Internet Explorer. I'm not sure whether the problem is only on my Macintosh, where I'm running Win7, XP, and Vista in Parallels virtual machine. But, in IE 8, the drop down menus don't drop down.
Would someone check to see if IE sees my drop down menus on a native PC OS, in IE?
The site is at: http://es.earthednet.org The menus that drop down are "Fisheries Home" and "Learning Resources". The others don't have sub-menus.
Thanks, Bill

They look right in i.e. 9, but it's getting harder and harder to find IE 8 testing environments out there. I would recommend upgrading your Vista in Parallels IE version to i.e. 9 if you can. There are significant differences between I8 and 9 to be tested. Much more likely that than a native OS /parallels issue.

Actually Microsoft does have multiple OS and IE version combinations you can download as images now:

Running the VPC's in Virtualbox:

I tested the site on IE8 in XP and it does have problems. In Chrome it is a bit off too. The UL that stores the menu is a pixel taller than the enclosing division. Here's a quick capture of that:
You got to look to see it, but you can see where it steps up after the UL. Easy fix - add a 1px top margin to the UL, get rid of the float and get rid of the top-border on the LI.

Thanks, David. That is reassuring. I'll get IE 9 and see if that helps. Bill
