Mohammed is blind, and his screen reader probably doesn't interact very well with the program. That is why the PO program may be a bit difficult to use. Mohammed has been using Drupal for a long time now, and is familiar with the interface and everything. This is why this solution would work for him. Further more - It seems to be simple to implement an elegant solution for this. Imagine being able to filter only messages for a specific module. Wouldn't that be just dandy? I will like that feature. I will see if I can code it and send a patch. I am not an expert coder though. My opinion is English speaking people in general don't use the locale/i18n module as much, so the usability issues for you guys aren't that apparent as they are for visually impaired people or people whose native language (like me and Mohammed) is not English. Hi Mohammed, It would be possible to do so, but as far as I can tell, you'd need to edit the module itself, unless I am missing something. My other suggestion of writing a simple SQL query to do this and put the code in a block could be an alternative solution, however, not sure if that is better than using Views. Mohammed, Depending on what the format of your FAQs look like, there may be different ones for this purpose. Ideally, a FAQ question in my definition thereof would consist of: 1. Question 2. Brief Answer 3. Further reading material, such as a link to a full page with info about the question It may be needed to write a new (simple) module to handle this, and then assign a term e.g. FAQ to it, and then use a menu item (or primary or secondary link) to point to all posts with that taxonomy term (category). local.module and filtering strings

hello. I am building a multi lingual site and is constantly checking the strings that need to be translated in the local.module the problem with this is that whenever I add a new module it adds its strings to the untranslated terms, and local.module display untranslated strings randomly. is there a way to filter strings that belong say to a certain module? or have local.module display strings sorted by module?? the reason why I want to do this, is because there are strings that i am not interested in translating because they are used mainly for administration and the admin of the site, myself, has no problem with English. Seeking module combo recommendations

Hello all. I've been reviewing modules for 4.7.x to find a combination suitable for building a collaborative code library [more below]. I am unsure of which way to proceed and so I'd like to seek recommendations for a solid system. Please advise based on this short usage scenario: GOAL: A short-snippet and full script code library capable of taking script attachments. The code language is AppleScript. Code should be code-highlighted for this language. Code should be able to be organized by 'section' [i.e., "Finder scripts", "PhotoShop scripts", "shell scripts", and so on with flexible categories/sections.] SUB-GOALS: Users should be able to download any attached scripts (AppleScripts) to a code node as well as download a whole (gzipped?) package of code snippets from an entire section. Thus far, I've experimented with a couple of combinations. Code Highlighting: I have GeSHi basically working (it's wonky and inconsistent, but it's getting there...the modules for this integration are pretty ill but at least there is something to work with.) Script Organization: - I have tried using the Forum module, which is good organizationally. I have not found an easy method for downloading an entire forum as a kind of "code book" PDF. - The Book module seems like a very good choice, and I've experimented with this. However, we also use the Book module for actual books and so there is some user confusion as to what is "a book" and what is not really a book, per se. - The Case module is also okay and I am using this for a few days now, posting more and more nodes. The 'Project' language crosses over to our use of the actual 'Projects' module [modified], and so we have another kind of mixed language issue with user understanding. Also, I have the "whole node cluster" as PDF issue. [*] It seems like there are other workable combinations (I'm willing to struggle with CCK and all the added module and table baggage that comes with, if this is the recommendation I receive). It's very difficult to try out every possible combination for this task, but I just feel like there _is_ a solid combination. (It's a great thing about Drupal to allow many ways to achieve a task. One of the hardest parts is finding the right metaphor for the task. A code library _is_ like a "book", a "forum", a "project with cases", and so on. Narrowing down the choices and finding things that work well together is the tough -- and fun -- part.) [*] I suppose that what this really means is: Sequentially combine nodes [by weight? by alpha-order? by date?] filed under a particular Taxonomy/Sub-taxonomy into a PDF. (Or, into a 'Book', which I can then PDF.) Is there such a beast as a Taxonomy->PDF module? Okay. Thanks for any suggestions as to workable combos. I'll give nearly anything a try, so if you have some good experience with something similar, then please let me know. Over and out. -- inkfree

Hi Greg, Mohammed is not a coder, and even if he wants to, he will have a tough time writing code due to circumstances. He can't provide the patches. He already described that sorting the untranslated strings by module would be solving his problem. Nodequeue - how to control what content looks like?

Hello, I've got a site here: http://beta.menashalibrary.org where I've got a box in the upper right where I have a featured event. It works fine, but it's taking all the div's and what not from the content area of my site rather than the menu, which is where I'm placing it. Which, really messes with the rest of the menu. Is there any way to control what that does? - jody

How to control HTML user input preserving the "style" attributes?

Hello there, I am creating an about_me.module to provide users with a customizable "about me" page. That page is to be very simple: a title field and a textarea for users to write whatever they want. Ideally, users should be able to customize their pages either by writing directly in HTML or by using TinyMCE. The problem that I'm having is that the formatting added by TinyMCE (especially the "style" attributes) are being filtered out by filter.module. An alternative would be to not filter the HTML tags at all, but I'm afraid that would add potential risks to my website. Is there any solution for this problem? What would you recommend?
