Mohammed, If you struggle with the views module, I will help set it up for you when I get a moment. Alternatively I can write a quick SQL query in a block that will do this for you. I am not sure if the entire Views module is needed for such a small block. Regards, Kobus PS: Laura, I doubt Mohammed would mind me saying this - he is blind, so Views may be a bit daunting for him. I have to take my hat off for Mohammed for trying so hard to make things work under his circumstances, and managing most of the stuff without contacting the help list. He has been using Drupal since 4.6.1 or something like that, and I have helped him a few times off-list to get some stuff done. Perhaps we should get a team together to focus specifically on usability for visually impaired users in the next version (> 5.0) of Drupal? That way the obvious stuff is already filled in. Things to remember: 1) You need a page if you want people to see all your sticky posts. 2) You need a block, obviously. 3) You will want to have filters. Musts would be node is sticky, node is published. You can add taxonomy, author, other conditions as you like. Try it out, and see what happens. 4) You probably don't need to deal with arguments. A very valid point. I am wondering if this shouldn't have started before. With all the new technologies, it becomes easier for non-developers to add inaccessible code/markup. Take TinyMCE for example. Although it has a decent enough warning when you don't add an "ALT" attribute to an image you inserted, or a "TITLE" attribute to a link, most non-coders/or "bad coders" will simply ignore that and continue adding code. Search results not showing up.

Hello, On nearly all my 4.7 sites, I am having problems with search. The issues are random, but occur on all my sites. After a certain amount of time, results stop being indexed. My search index tells me that all is indexed, though I know, it is not :) When I search for obvious words in newer posts, I get either no results, or too few. Rebuilding the index works. Untill after a random time, then it stops indexing. Indexing stops on one site a time. This has been going on for months. Cron runs just fine, so it seems, and I /am/ running multisite sites, with cron runs on all the sites every 16 minutes, so it could be a memory/CPU issue, though I doubt it, since my watchdog tells me cron ran just fine, and my server is far from choked. Has anyone experienced this too? Has anyone seen any docs on Drupal.org about this specific issue? Does anyone know where to start debugging this weirdness? Bèr

How to have 'featured events'?

Hello, I've got a website I'm developing for a library. On the front page will be displayed new events, updated and added pages, etc. What I'd like to do is have a small area on the page that shows a few featured events. Kind of like this site: http://www.aadl.org My question is, where do I start? How do I classify an event as being 'featured', and how do I get a block to only display those items? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. - jody

dear listers, first, I am sorry to have posted this messages to both the themes and the support lists, but I just am not sure where this would fit more. I am concerned with the accessibility of drupal powered websites for the blind and visually impaired. I have searched the drupal website and read what I could find about this topic but it seems to me that this has received little attention so far. none of the posts I read was elaborate enough. here are some points to contemplate about: 1. for visually impaired users, I want them to be able to change the font size / color / contrast on the fly. one site that does this beautifully, but it's not drupal powered is our strategic partner's website at: www.yourdolphin.com 2. provide keyboard users the possibility of reaching some parts of the website using accesskeys. I know that this method isn't preferred from what I read about it, but may be the listers can share their views about this point. I am blind myself, and never need to use accesskeys as my screen reader has built in commands to reach to various elements on most websites. actually, most modern screen readers have this possibility. I am thinking that structuring the website's documents well will often be most handy. like using different heading sizes, and using bulleted and numbered lists. the project I am involved in currently is for the company I work for, which specializes in assistive technology for the blind and visually impaired. it's at: www.nattiq.info it still requires lots of work, specially that it's going to be multilingual and has a right to left language. still, I would highly appreciate it if some of you could give it a look and steer me in the right direction. any comments will be warmly welcomed. access denied when upgrading from 4.6.3 to 4.7.3

Hello I have upgraded from 4.6.3 to 4.7.3 with no errors. But now when I am logged in everything works fine, but as anonymous I get 403 errors.
