Gordon and all, Thanks for all your help. The host has found some issue on the server thanks to your troubleshooting, and is investigating a possible solution. In the meantime he asked if I could ask the list if it is possible to put a port number in the $db_url for the database server? in other words, something like: $db_url = 'mysql://drupaluser:mypassword@111.111.111.111:3307/drupaldb'; where 111.111.111.111 is the MySQL database server? My gut feeling is that the string will not get parsed correctly, because of the fact that there is a : already in the $db_url after the drupaluser. Any ideas on this, please? Thanks! locked out - site off line for maintenance

I've just created my first attempt at drupal, apparently successful, until I did something with a button that said something about going off line for maintenance. Now I can't get back again. No matter what I do, I get the "closed for maintenance" window. Help?! thanks... David.

problems with mailhandler and OG 4.7

Running 4.7 with latest og and mailhandler it almost works i use og_groups: [12] as my command it works half way.. it correctly assigns a og_subscriber realm in the node_access table BUT. the gid is always 0 instead of 12 like it should be if i remove og_groups: [12] it puts og_all in the node access table why wouldnt it put 12 in the gid table? thanks ryan.

View module and node teaser

I am using Drupal 4.7.1 with CCK and Views (from CVS on 25th May). It doesn't appear to be possible to add the node teaser as a field. This seems very odd to me, is this because it is difficult to do or just that is hasn't been added to the module yet? -- Martin.

DB error on upgrade

In upgrading from drupal 4.7.0 to 4.7.1, I got the database error below. It looks like the column vid was already added and the data from uid copied as per the update code. I had to manually modify the table to make vid unique. clean paths - but /admin is hard-wired to another location

Hi, I'm running Drupal 4.7.1 on a Cobalt RaQ box or something similar. The problem with this box is that the /admin location is hard-wired to their internal admin interface - this makes navigation inside the Drupal admin menu a little tedious. Even worse, according the the ISP support, this mapping cannot be disabled. Is there a simple way to consistently rename the Drupal paths e. g. from "/admin/..." to "/dadmin/..." or something like this? Hi, I'm a newbie - you've been warned :o) I'm looking for a way to set up a links page. I've managed to install the experimental links package, and it seems to work ok, although I can't find a way to style it. Is using this package the best way to set up a links page, or should I try something else? My links page should contain categories and subcategories, and the links should have descriptions - much like Yahoo, I guess. You can take a look at my first feeble attempts here: http://unschooling.dk/?q=links/weblink it's in Danish... As I said, I can't figure out how to style the categories table, and I would love some help with this - how do I for instance move the two categories longer apart? I do know some php and I'm comfortable with css, but I can't get this to work - please help!!! cheers Morten
