Getting from field collection to parent node

I am creating a new node that has one or more field collections within it. In those field collections, there is a computed field. In the code for computing that value, I need to get back up to the node that contains the collection. I am not having a lot of luck figuring out how to do that. show vocabulary options side by side when writing content?

I have about 8 different vocabularies defined for my content. When writing a new article, the vocabulary selections appear in a vertical list. This makes for more scrolling up and down when creating new content. Is there an easy way to make the vocab options float next to each other in a more horizontal view? Can't Get Update Info

[ Drupal 7.22; multi-site ] Manually running "Available Updates" produces the following error message for "core" and each module and theme: Failed to get available update data. Not sure why this is suddenly happening. Worked like a charm in the past. I looked online for help, and tried a few things (e.g., "flushed" the 'cache_update' table using 'phpmyadmin'). Database Drivers unreachable (dependecy hell)

I've got drupal 7 and drush on Mac OSX 10.7 The original PHP install (as shipped) is 5.3.25. with that configuration I was able to upgrade drupal sites running locally for several occassions. One site used sqlite, the other mysql. Now I have installed PHP 5.4.15, as well as the mysql and sqlite drivers for php54. Now when I run drush updb, I get the following: A PDO database driver is required! You need to enable the PDO_SQLITE (or PDO_MYSQL) database driver for PHP 5.2.4 or higher so that Drupal 7 can access the database. I find Applications/MySQLWorkbench.app/Contents/Resources/libraries/pysqlite2/_sqlite.so /opt/local/lib/php54/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20100525/pdo_sqlite.so and opt/local/lib/php54/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20100525/mysql.so /opt/local/lib/php54/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20100525/pdo_mysql.so Worse, if I set the php execute as php54, drush freezes on the drush updb command. No error messages, just stalls. This is a mess. I feel that I am back in linux 6 dependency hell! BTW: Those of you who might be using homebrew and would recommend that I convert, would be on the right track but unfortunately I have over 200 _active_ packages installed via macports. Site Documentation Module?

Is there a D7 module that allows for printout of installed modules and their version information? Documentation of module configuration would be a bonus. I could do the same thing with multiple screen prints, but there has to be a better way. Background: I have two sites, production and dev. Dev is a VMware clone of production. Monthly I clone prod to dev. It has come to my attention that one page on prod has a javascript sendMessage does nothing when clicked. It works fine in dev. I’m not a javascript person but when viewing lines in text mode prod and dev they look the same. I see no module related issues that would cause this. At some point the developer is going to ask me about it. I did a manual compare of installed modules and see no significant differences. I’d like to produce a report for the developer where they could see I have same modules on both systems configured the same way. Ideas? Bob

Drupal 7 + Quercus 4 + Tomcat 7

Hi. I am attempting to get Drupal 7 running with Quercus 4. All seems to go well at first, however, after installation complete, I visit the home page and the theme installed appears to be Stark. except displaying the LIGHT grey Drupal logo that is included with Bartik. When I look at the Appearance configuration, Bartik 7.22 is set as the default theme. If I try to set any other theme to default, i.e. Seven 7.22, the message 'Stark is now the default theme' appears at the top of the page in a green box. From then on, only the Stark theme will enable, and now the theme visible when going back to the home page is the real Stark, showing with the DARK grey Drupal logo. Any pointers to documentation specific to setting up Drupal 7 with Quercus, or advice on this specific issue (maybe it's not exclusive to Quercus), or advice on how I can enable any logging that could tell me what's wrong would be appreciated. I've also checked on Windows file system permissions, etc. c:\tomcat and all subdirectories appear to be accessible to both my logged in user, and the SYSTEM user which is running Tomcat. UAC is off. Please see below specific details that may assist in understanding the issue: Environment: Drupal 7.22 Quercus 4.0.36 Tomcat 7.0.40 Windows 7 Ultimate Java JDK 1.7.0_21 Steps I performed to install: 1: Install Tomcat 7 to C:\tomcat 2: Install MySQL + setup empty database and user for Drupal 3: Copy MySQL JDBC driver to tomcat lib 4: Replace C:\tomcat\webapps\ROOT with contents of Quercus war file 5: Copy contents of Drupal distribution into C:\tomcat\webapps\ROOT 6: Start Tomcat 7: Access Drupal via http://localhost:8080 8: Step through Drupal installation (giving DB name and user, etc).

Problem with menus

I am having some problems with a form being generated via ctools in drupal 7, and looking for help. At first glance it seems to be a very fundamental bug, but it is hard to imagine that a bug like this could have gone so long without affecting someone else. System Info: PHP 5.3.18 Drupal Core 7.22 (Latest Stable) CTools 7.x-1.3 (Latest Stable) The symptom I was seeing was that a select control wasn't taking its new value, but keeping its old value. In tracing it back, I found that when the form was loaded from cache on the submission, the form control had a #value property for the old setting, which override the new value. In tracing that back I found in /includes/form.inc is the function: function drupal_process_form($form_id, &$form, &$form_state) { ... $unprocessed_form = $form; $form = form_builder($form_id, $form, $form_state); I modified this to be: $unprocessed_form = $form; dpm($unprocessed_form); $form = form_builder($form_id, $form, $form_state); dpm($unprocessed_form); and I see that the value of $unprocessed_form changes in the call to form_builder, which created the #value property from the #default_value property created for the control. I think this is because form is really just a reference to the render array for the form, so $unprocessed_form was set to be another reference to that same render array, so changes to the array are reflected in $unprocessed_form. It appears that we need to do something to "deep-copy" the value of the form here to save the old value. The problem I have is that it is hard to imagine that this hasn't bitten anyone previously, so maybe I am doing something wrong in the first place in building my form, but it is hard to imagine that I could be doing something so wrong as to mess up code this far from the code I am writing in such a way. Any ideas on this? Do I submit an issue on this, or it the problem on my end? -- Richard Damon

bots getting past password protection

Hi, This might be a little OT, but might be a common problem too. I'm using the Auth protection in .htaccess to password protect development sites. I'm using Apache 2.2 For some reason, the pages in these site are showing up in search results, even though theoretically protected. Has anyone else seen this problem and found a way to block them?
