Using drupal 7 latest views and the taxonomy/term/16/ view how can I get the path to expand in to http://example.com/taxonomy/term/16/all/feed to /taxonomy/archives/techtalk/ Or just I've done a lot of reading on this and well now I've got myself just lost. links to download files do not start

Hi, I am having problem on my site where when I click on a link to download it does nothing, it works on every other site including my drupal 6 sites, just not my drupal 7. For some it works and for others it does not. Is there something I should be doing to be sure I am linking correctly. I am using file field. I've not encountered this before moving to drupal 7. Copying a drupal default theme to /sites/all/themes/ and rework the .info, template.php and theme-settings.php as per tutorial and all works - until! Until one inserts the line base theme = garland or base theme = new name into the .info file of the new renamed .info. Bingo drupal is dead, no access to the system because there's no theme. It does not default to (Seven) the admin theme. Most peculiar that drupal can eliminate access because of a line in the .info file. If the offending line is commented out, deleted or changed to garland, drupal still dead. It seems that drupal reads the multi site .info once and saves a change to somewhere in the database then does not re read the .info file To fix: Needs a fresh install of that particular multi site. So if someone changes the .info file it kills drupal 7! This needs serious attention. It is inconceivable that something as innocuous as the .info file can be so destructive. Cheers Roger

Hello, I was wondering if something like this can be done. I have installed the color box module and if you give something a class of colorbox-load the link, say an image or even an external web page will show up in a lightbox type display. So, I have a view that links to the full node. One of those nodes uses the Video embed to add a field for entering a url to a YouTube page or vimeo page. So, instead of navigating to another page, I wonder if this could appear, the full node or the video in a lightbox window? I have Title links back to the full node, so perhaps if it was possible to add a class to this that is colorbox-load then I'd get the effect I want. It might even be cool to have on a different type of content type, like for my poetry magazine, to create a second view, so that when the person clicks on the title, the poem itself appears as a lightbox display. Anyone know if both or either of these can be done? Forms in blocks

Hi, Hopefully this is a tired old question and someone replies with the answer. I have created all my forms but now want to put them into the site. I am struggling to understand how to make these components which can be added to a page. I imagined they could have been added as blocks but there is no option to do so. Currently downloading formblock module hoping this will solve my problem. Please advise if this is an appropriate approach. Iain

It seems to be a multi sites problem. Experimentation indicates that in the multi site set up I can set another site to read the theme but it's dead in the original theme. Roger

A file upload page on my site..

Hi, I am far from the worlds greatest programmer so not at all sure how to do this.. I want to create a page that will allow particular roles to simply upload a .pdf file to a configured directory on the server.. I have content_access installed so access control shouldn't be a problem.. What I am not sure how to do is create the field on the page for the upload and tell it where to save the file.. I have the plupload module loaded for use with the media module to create a gallery.. So since this is there already the ultimate would be to use this in a page but have the uploaded files go where I want them rather than the default Drupal files directory.. If this is quite complicated though I would be happy with a simple field that I can choose a file and hit upload.. I don't really need a content type for this because I only need the one page so really just looking for a way to put code directly into a page without breaking something badly.. :) Code examples most appreciated.. :) TIA

mail issue: new user registration email not being sent

Hello, I've inherited a community site (meld.org) running Drupal and I'm struggling with a problem that appears to have been present for some time now. When a new user registers on the site, Drupal indicates that the new user registration email with password and next steps has been sent to the user, but that mail never gets generated. I've been researching this problem for a week now and see that it's cropped up for many users in the past, with the possible solution being found here: http://drupal.org/node/353797#comment-4426896 So here's what I know: Drupal 6.19 PHP 5.2.17 Apache 2.2.3 (RedHat) SimpleMail php.ini: sendmail_path = /usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i I can send mail manually from the box using: $sudo /usr/sbin/sendmail -f "admin(a)meld.org" to "btraynor(a)gmail.com" < test.mail And I verified that PHP can send mail from the machine as well. I've tried using the SMTP Authorization module with the Outgoing Mail logging module and generating a Test message does NOT send a mail out, but does log it as if it had in the Outgoing Mail logging report. However, /var/log/maillog shows nothing. Beyond simply starting to upgrade everything one by one, I'm at a loss.
