Help with OG for Non-profits

Hello all, I am working on two Drupal 7 sites for non-profits that serve the homeless, and needy. There is a board of directors for each group and then there are volunteers, affiliates, etc. I thought it would be useful to engage all these people on the website. However, I haven't done much with Organic Groups. I could use ideas and suggestions. Navigation menu

Hi, this is the first time it happens something like that. In the navigation menu I see the submenu icon with no name but the tooltip only. It seems the navigation menu is fucked up a bit. I went the admin section and I tried to delete such voices but they are still there. What I'm doing now is giving them a name again and save/disable and seems to work. There's a faster way to fix that? Thanks, Sal

Modify Bartik theme

I want to get rid of the pager, rss feeder and Read More in a copy of Bartik theme that I have put in/sites/all/themes, they are not needed for my purposes. How do I do this please? thanks in advance Roger

Drupal 6 and CiviCRM errors

I am running Drupal 6.20 and CiviCRM 3.3.5 on Media Temple hosting on (gs) MySQL Container Lite. I have access to edit my php.ini and my.cnf file. The drupal set-up is not "live" but we are using the CiviCRM for our membership stuff now. Last week I started doing major theme work on the drupal site to get it ready for live, and, at some point in that process, the CiviCRM "broke" in that now I'm getting error messages whenever I try and access the entire database. I get some variation of this error message: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 77824 bytes) in /nfs/c02/h09/mnt/25571/domains/mana.org/html/drupaltest2/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Core/BAO/UFGroup.php on line 1493 The first part is always the same up to the amount tried to allocate and then it's always a different file and line number. The only thing that appears wrong with the drupal set-up is, when I clear the cache, I get this error message (always the same message): warning: realpath() [function.realpath <http://mana.org/drupaltest2/admin/settings/function.realpath>]: open_basedir restriction in effect. Hi, Spent forever trying to get this module to work on D7. I am sure it is me and a senior moment but I cannot get http://localhost/drupal-7.8/?q=user/2/contact this to work for a user which is not an administrator. Alter user page menu local task

Hi all, I would alter the order and default local task on user page. I'm trying using hook_menu_alter, with no luck (cache is flushed on each request) /** * Implementation of hook_menu_alter(). */ function mymodule_menu_alter(&$items) { // dashboard is default $items['user/%/dashboard']['weight'] = -10; $items['user/%/dashboard']['type'] = MENU_DEFAULT_LOCAL_TASK; $items['user/%']['type'] = MENU_LOCAL_TASK; } Is the right way to do it ? thanks in advance, Luca

Drupal 7 Views filters

I have Drupal 7 and views 3. I have an Event content type provides for listing ongoing events on a weekly or monthly basis for up to 12 months. The event names, members, venues, etc are taxonomy terms. The user selects field content from taxonomy term lists and simply selects the dates from the Date module. A basic view shows data with all of the repeating dates. I am stuck on how to filter a view to display only current dates for the next 2 weeks for weekly events and a view of current events for 1 month for the monthly events. It was easy enough in Drupal 6 views 2 but I'm lost with how to do it in views 3. Can someone walk me through howto do this please. Are the any suitable tutorials that look at in depth use of views for this and hopefully the use of panels to display the events content. Thanks Roger

Filefield inline pdf D6

According to http://drupal.org/node/485336 there is supposed to be a "filefield_inline_types" in the variable table, but I can't find it. Am I supposed to add it? Has anyone figured out a better way for Private files to open inline in the browser? Drupal 6 Thanks in advance! Joel Willers

Prevent access to original images

Hi all, I want to allow my users to upload photos from their digital cameras. I will use Image Styles to resize and watermark the photos to display in galleries, etc. I then want to prevent access to the original, full-size, non-watermarked photos; but even using a private file system with the directory set outside the web root folder, it seems the original photos are still accessible if you know (or can guess) the URL... Is there any possible way to prevent anyone accessing the original photos, but allow full access to the image style derivatives? -- Kind regards, Peter Anderson. http://panda.id.au

Printer, e-mail and PDF versions don't make pdfs with non-ASCCII fonts

I have installed the module "Printer, e-mail and PDF versions" to my drupal site works with Russian fonts. It does not make pdf-files from web-pages on Russian. Instead Russian letters it type in pdf-files "?" and etc. Is it possible to make "Printer, e-mail and PDF versions" work correctly with non-ASCII fonts, Russian including? If it is, how?
