and how pointless parental controls are if the kid is a geek. I'm coaching my kid's school on how to teach parents to sue parental controls, web filtering... blah blah. I was doing some reading and just learned how simple it is to take over someone's computer if you have physical access to it. On a Mac, hold down command-S after the chime and you get to a command line with root user privileges. From there you can change root password or create another admin user account which you can hide... etc. etc. I can't believe I didn't know that. There is a partial fix for that by adding a "firmware password." http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1352 I just can't believe I didn't know that. Shai

reCaptcha is locking me out of my site

I installed reCaptcha and now when I try to log in to my own site I get the error: "To use reCAPTCHA you must get an API key from http://recaptcha.net/api/getkey" Of course I need to be logged in to do anything about the error. How can I disable reCaptcha? Do I need to go into my database to fix this? This is a D5 site and module version. ............................................................................ Lightbox2 problem

Good afternoon list, I've configured my 403 and 404 errors using the Custom error module but i've encountered a problem when using it with Lightbox2. The custom 403 page displays the login ability in the list as default by the Custom error module. However when i click on the login, the lightbox pops up but only shows a white box. Opacity is set at .8. When i disable the login support and click on the login, i get a standard 403 page. don't have permission to access /test/openid/authenticate on this server

on drupal 6.1.9, i got these messages when trying to log using the openid module: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /test/openid/authenticate on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. I logged in with google account www.google.com/profiles/umarzuki Anyone had this problem before and able to solve? Stuck Installing Drupal-SQLite

My company web site is small (currently 18 .xhtml pages) so I prefer to use SQLite3 rather than postgres for a CMS database. Installing the SQLite modification for Drupal-6.19 (the entire tarball) worked fine. However, I'm stuck at the 4th (of 7) set up steps. The step has me enter the name of the database, then press the button to continue to the next step. When I do this, the db/ directory is created and the empty database filename is installed there. However, I cannot move on to the next step because I'm returned to that database creation page each time. Naturally, this is frustrating, particularly for a newcomer migrating straight .xhtml and .css to Drupal. What should I do to continue the installation and move on to building the new site? All images disappeared. image_resize_filter problem?

Hi, now this is strange: today I checked my website just to find out nearly all images are missing! Everything in: /sites/default/files/resize/resize/ /sites/default/files/resize/users/ was gone. Only empty directories remained. Other images saved somewhere else remained. How the hell could this happen? Enabling Clean URLs in 6.19

As the installation finished I was instructed to log in as the administrator, go to the administer >> site configuration >> clean urls section of the administrative interface, and look for the paragraph that reads as follows: <some text>. There is nothing on the page other than a radio box, a notice that my current configuration does not support clean URLs, and no paragraph or option to run the clean URL test. I must have missed something but I don't know what. Thanks, Rich

including profile edit form on a page...

The following PHP is what I have in a page.tpl.php, and it worked before I upgraded Drupal 6.14 to 6.19 and enabled clean URLs (with Pathauto). Now when I submit a profile edit, the page just reloads quickly, but nothing is written to the database. Anyone know why? Need more info? Unserializing Data for Use in a View

I'm creating a view of ubercart order products. I got the necessary data to be accessible to Views using Table Wizard (http://drupal.org/project/tw). The product attribute info is stored serialized in the "data" field on the uc_order_products table. Here is an example of the raw serialized data: a:5:{s:6:"kit_id";s:3:"570";s:6:"module";s:14:"uc_product_kit";s:10:"attributes";a:2:{s:9:"Attending";a:1:{i:0;s:26:"Jane > Doe, John Doe";}s:4:"Note";a:1:{i:0;s:45:"We are friends of Eric Smith and > Sandy > Smith";}}s:9:"shippable";s:1:"0";s:9:"unique_id";s:23:"4c7d632a8090c7.95333579";} I have no problem printing it out like above.
