advanced forum: how can I split answers to pages?

Hi, I'm using advanced_forum module, and I am quite satisfied, except for one thing: I have noticed, all answers are on the same page. If a certain forum-topic has 45 answers, they are all on the same page, that page is quite long and if there are many pictures, it takes long time to generate the page. How could I force advanced_forum to split answers let's say to 20 per pages? I checked Administer > Content management > Forums and there is "Topics per page: 25". But I did not find anything like "Answers per page", or "Replies per page". I also checked advanced_forum settings, but did not find anything relevant... Thought I'd follow up with the fuller story. The problem occurred because I imported hundreds of categories without ever manually resetting the term_data_tid row in the sequences table. CCK Select dropdown ordering and selecting "other"

Hellos, Is there a way of telling cck to arrange select options alphabetically? And is it possible to have a text box that is only availble when users choose "other" option in the select box? Thanks

Filter views on multiple fields

Hi list, I have a content type with multiple fields (name, tel, email, ...). I have created a view to list all nodes of this content type. I able to sort this view by names, tel, ... But now, I want to filter this view by ONE filter textbox and not one for name, an other for tel, ... How can I do that ? I try to use custom text to concatenate all fields but I can't filter my view on custom text field ! I have 2 solutions in mind. Create my own filter or concatenate cck fields into one and filter on it. But I don't know how do that. Do you have some idea ? Or how can I do that ? Thanks in advance for your help.

Select list from fields

I have a number of content types which apparently cannot be concatenated because I can't create appropriate Select Lists from any field in a content Type. One such contains names and contact details. I find that drupal seems to be limited to creating select lists from only the Title field of a content type which means no Select List on first name or Last name, city or post code. This seems to be a severe limitation in setting up an input form content type. Q1. When creating a new content type, is there a way to create a select list drop down from any or every field in a content type with out hard coding the "Allowed Values"? Q2. Can a view be used to create Select List drop down fields for a new content type? Who should be contacted with suggestion for Drupal UI improvement. thanks in advance Roger

How to set webform checkbox enabled by default

Hi, I have followed all the steps of http://dialogmix.com/drupal-webform-checkboxes-radio-buttons. Using this I got the checkbox but I want it as an enabled by default. Can anyone help me out of this? Thanks in advance.

Getting Drupal6 running on Debian LAMP system

I am trying to get a Debian Linux, Apache2, MySQL, PHP5 system going. All of the instructions that I find assume that I am installing from a tar file or some such. Debian installs everything, including the config files, automatically. The Dbian installation differs significantly from the documentation. I finally got Apache2, MySQL and /drupal6/install.php running but immediately got the install.php error shown below. Choose language The following error must be resolved before you can continue the installation process: In your /./sites/default/settings.php/ file you have configured Drupal to use a // server, however your PHP installation currently does not support this database type. * Install Drupal in English <http://cruncher/drupal6/install.php?profile=default&locale=en> * Learn how to install Drupal in other languages <http://cruncher/drupal6/install.php?profile=default&localize=true> Please check the error messages and try again <http://cruncher/drupal6/install.php?profile=default>. When I finally found settings.php, the file had been automatically generated by the .deb installation script. There is nothing obviously wrong with it. Debian notes say to use install.php at this point to populate the data tables. Obviously this is not going to happen until the above error is fixed. Any suggestions. Gary R.

CCK forms and Import/Exporting to Excel

*Hello List!* I'm hoping somebody can give me some direction with a few tasks using CCK forms and Excel data. Here are the tasks I'm trying to accomplish: 1. Import Excel data into Drupal to populate CCK Forms 2. Export CCK form data into Excel Spreadsheets 3. A way to display the imported Excel data (probably just as HTML), and sort through it. And finally, I'm also curious to know if there are any good CCK form builders, or a good way for users to create their own forms on the fly? I've been googling around, but I'm hoping one of you Drupalers can point me in the right direction! Thanks! *brendan*
