Memcache + hierarchical select, and anon users

Hi all, So I've set up memcache a million times but have run into a problem I can't seem to figure out. I'm using hierarchical_select.module on a site, and when I enable memcache, just that piece breaks. I know HS does a bunch of form submissions via ajax to update its list on the node form, but that's about as far as I've gotten. Has anyone else battled with this before or have any advice? Additionally, I'd like to get the anonymous user count, but the current Admin/admin toolbar module won't provide it when memcache is enabled, I'm guessing because sessions are in memcache. Anyone know of a workaround? Thanks for your time, -Domenic

Drupal books/DVD resources

I'm rather new to drupal, though have several years html, CSS, and WordPress web design experience. I was wondering if some of you might share your favorite drupal books/DVD/video resources? I'm needing to quickly learn how to do a rather complicated website with an organization membership database and membership search page among other features. I've got the basics of setting up a Drupal site, using modules and themes, etc., and now I'm getting to the deeper aspects. Thanks! Tina

best way to restore nodes

I accidentally deleted some nodes of my site long ago. Now I need to restore them. I have the database backup, but the site have new nodes, so I would need to export the nodes with its nid, and then insert them. Which tables contain node information besides {node} and {node_revision}? XML RPC API

Hello i'm qite new to Drupal and i'm trying to find the correct way of using xmlrcp querys to publish content from "outside" drupal. It seems that the rigth way of doing this is from XMLRPC. I'm not sure, if somebody can put my in the rigth direction...would be nice. ¿How I start?

Hello, Any one of a jquery tooltip script I can use with drupal, looking for one that is based on an element for content based on the element id, and that won't close while hovering over the tooltip, want to use it for the shopping cart ubercart block; Thanks Idan

disable edit of submitted nodes/content

Hi, I am using Drupal 6. I have created a few custom CCK content types. I am trying to have a system where authenticated users can submit content/ideas. These ideas should be somehow assigned to a few moderators. Initial investigations tell me that there are some modules (modr8 and similar stuff). I haven't tried these yet. To start with I want the admin to be able to freeze/ totally disable the edit tab/ disable individual cck fields in the cck contenty type for each content node created by the user. How can this be achieved? I have tried Rules and Content access but couldn't really work around them. Are these the correct things to look at? All help appreciated. Regards - Ben

Hi, does anyone know of a really nice <code> insertion tool? I'm having issues with the drupal module: codeFilter*, in that it strips ">" and "<" from any place where I put them inside of <code></code> wrappers?!, and it also does all sorts of crazy font coloring to <?php code and over-rules my <code> wrapper.. both of which make styling it really challenging... I'm looking for something that: WORKS and allows me to easily style it just the way I like it... Thanks! Seb. p.s. yes, i followed the installation instructions, I have an input filter ON with ONLY the <code> filter active, and yet it is stripping my "<" symbols from inside the <code> sections... very strange
