question about table location_instance

The location table location_instance, as far as I've determined, supports either a location associated with a user (location_instance.uid) or with a node (location_instance.nid and vid). I would like to have a location associated with both. I have a module that does this and it seems to work okay for my purposes. I am wondering what problems I might encounter doing this.

FILE SYSTEM: PRIVATE vs PUBLIC

Ok I am confused about PRIVATE and PUBLIC set for the FILE SYSTEM I am taking a site and copying it to the same root area with a different name so I ended up with drupal 1 and drupal2. I also created a different temp directories, just to be safe. Drupal1 is the original and the FILE SYSTEM is set up to PUBLIC and everything works. On drupal2, If the FILE SYSTEM is set to PUBLIC then my ddblock module will not display pictures and I get an error message "The selected file 'D:\temp\filAB2.tmp could not be copied." But if I set drupal2 FILE SYSTEM to PRIVATE then everything works. Can some help understand why I can not set both the original and the copied site exactly the same? Thanks, Nestor

Help with CKFinder installation

Hi drupalers I've installed the module CKEditor into my website (not FCKeditor) and it works very well, so now i'm trying to install the filebrowser CKFinder but i getting the following error: CKEditor 3.1 You are using a feature that requires manual integration into config.php (either built-in filebrowser or quick uploads are enabled in the Avanzado<http://www.libreriadesalta.com.ar/admin/settings/ckeditor/edit/Avanzado>profile). Read instructions about enabling built-in file browser and add "require_once ..." statement in editor/filemanager/connectors/php/config.php. How to use two dbms for drupal

Hi all. I need to import an old site (based on a proprietary CMS based on postgres) on drupal 6.x based on mysql. I have thinked that two $db_url['XXX'] were enough, 1 (default) for mysql and the other (oldweb) for postgres. But I receive this error when I try to use the connection to postgresql: *Fatal error*: Cannot redeclare db_status_report() (previously declared in....... How can I connect to an postgres db if my site run on mysql? Redirect user to a acknowledgments page after a node submit

Hi all. When a user insert a content Drupal send him to the node page, but If the content is not published at run time the user see an Access Denied Page. How can I redirect the user to an "thanks" page ? Tnx. Consulting about installed modules

Hi: I need to know if exists any way (maybe through drush) in which i will be able to obtain the list of all modules installed on a particular drupal site. I would like to create an script to install all modules that i have in a site to another with a clean drupal installation. Polls module

Hello, I just started a poll on my website. After I voted I see that I have no option to change the vote. What if one of my users says that they want to change their vote. Is there a way to remove their vote from the poll so they can vote again? Daniel.

Forum module?

Hello, Can anyone recommend a *good* forum module, that works well, actually *looks* like a standard web forum, and doesn't have external dependencies? I have one website that uses the standard Drupal forum module. It sort of works, but very poorly. It's really just taking the "comments" feature and pretending that it's a forum, and it doesn't work very well. It doesn't look like a forum at all. I have another website that uses Simple Machines Forum. These modules do look great, but SMF is a separate dependency and the integration with Drupal is imperfect. You often get a lot of the SMF admin controls poping out. Some times you have to login again to SMF, and so on. I have to hide the smf URL to avoid the risk of someone creating an account at SMF directly without a corresponding Drupal account. So this solution is not great either. Is anyone aware of a better alternative? Something that really works inside Drupal but actually looks like a standard web forum? Thanks for the help. Cheers, Daniel.

Help with "User Titles" module.

Hello, I have installed the User Titles module to complement the Advance Forum module. I have setup five user titles and I uploaded images. When I go to the forum, I see the title but not the image: http://monda-lango.org/node/141 See? No image. It's supposed to be showing this image: http://monda-lango.org/files/user-titles-images/icon-2-stars.png If you inspect the HTML, you'll see that Drupal is not even trying to show the image. There is no image tag at all. Any idea how I can get Drupal to display the image? Thanks, Daniel.

Disable publishing of Image Nodes in RSS

I have the Image, Image_Attach and img_assit modules for my site. The basic use for these is to enable users to upload images to the server and put them in their blog entires. The images get published to RSS and ultimately end up on Twitter and Facebook.
