CCK custom view

I have a CCK type (a news article)... is there any way I can give a custom view of this (not just the node, but the whole page), so I can output it in XML etc.? e.g /path/to/node (uses normal node view), / path/to/node/xml (renders it in XML using a template - actually what I want to do is render it in XHTML, but in a certain format) I've looked at Views, but they seem geared towards rending lists of CCK types - I just want a special view of a particular node alternatively, I could have a module that loads the CCK type via a callback menu item - e.g. /somecallback/path/to/node . ... but I can't figure out how to load the node based on the /path/to/node information.. anyone know how to do this? Create a streaming and a photogallery in my website

Hello everyone, I'm here again with another question. I need to create an audio streaming in my drupal site. In particular, I need that the users can listen the files included in a content but they can't download it. Could you suggest some ways to do that pls? Can I use mp3 files format or do you suggest something else? Is it better real audio format to do tHAT? At the edn, I'd like to ask you some advices to create a photogallery. I know that there is a module to do that but I don't know where to start. Thanks in advance for all your advices regards, Sauro

HTML displayed as text

I'm trying to edit my primary links menu to replace the text with a button image, and I'm having a problem with getting my <img> tag to display. I've overridden the theme_menu_links() function in template.php, and it looks like what I need to do is replace $link['title'] with the <img> tag. To do this, I added this line to the function: $link['title'] = "<img src=\"images/btn_home.jpg\">"; However, the whole tag is displayed as text on the page, and when I view source, this is what I see for the link: <li><a href="/drupal57/" title="Home page" class="active"><img src='images/btn_home.jpg'></a></li> I don't understand this, because in other places in the function, that is how tags are written out in the code. What do I need to change to get the actual quotes and < > symbols written out correctly? Thanks. Steve

Well, I figured out that what I needed to do was to pass the $html parameter as TRUE to the l() function. The next problem is creating the path for the src parameter in the <img> tag. I want to make it dynamic and use $base_path and $directory, but they don't seem to be available within my mytheme_menu_links() function. Is there a way to make them available within the function? visit counter

Hello, I need an information coz I have to set a visit counter in the homepage of my drupal website. Actually I tried to activate the statistics module and i should give me these information but it seems that it doesn't work. Could you help me to solve it? configure the number of blog posts

Hi there, I'm using drupal-5.2, and using cck for the overview of the homepage. I want to set up a blog, nothing of blog would be showed on homepage. I want to configure the number of posts on homepage of blog. I can just find 'number of posts on main page' in 'post setting'. I don't want to change the setting. How can I set the number of blog posts and 'length of trimmed posts'? Thanks, Huisi

CCK fields being created as separate tables in the db

I've been pulling my hair out about this for two hours. I have made a nodeprofile content type and am using cck fields to build it. All the fields I created were added as columns to the content_type_nodeprofile table....except the last two which were added to my db as separate tables: content_field_hobbies content_field_age these were the last two I added and, also, I had a few problems with the "group" they sat in, so I ended up changing the name and deleting and recreating the groups at least once...may this have caused the issue? I've tried totally deleting the relevant fields and groups and starting again, but they keep getting created as separate tables. Aagh!! Basically, what is it that makes CCK create a field as a separate table instead of putting it as a column inside the content type table? Neil

multiple issues after downgrading...to export/migrate manualy?

Dear friends, In recent attempts to upgrade a fairly elaborate and content packed Drupal site (hosted at 101sitehosting and managed "mostly" through web interface of installatron) we failed to successfully upgrade from 5.x to 6.0 version of Drupal. As script gives option to downgrade the installation we tries to do so and site is again operational but quite a few content-type related issues appeared (articles, forums, book pages got mixed up). What would be the good way to export existing content+users and import it into new 6.0 setup or maybe even to import it first to new 5.7 setup and then re-try the upgrade? Thanks for any advice given!
