CK-ERP (Open Source ERP / CRM / MRP) v.0.25.1 released (with Drupal 5.3 connector)

Hi, folks, I have posted a new release, v.0.25.1, of CK-ERP, at SourceForge.Net, http://sourceforge.net/projects/ck-erp . New features include, five new templates, fy2t – for use by factory-like businesses operating within a dual (Canadian) tax environment fy1t – for use by factory-like businesses operating within a single (Australian) tax environment so2t – for use by service organizations operating within a dual (Canadian) tax environment so1t – for use by service organizations operating within a single (Australian) tax environment simp – for use by small simplistic businesses operating within a single (Australian) tax environment a connector for IRM (Information Resource Manager), a sample chart of accounts for use by internet based businesses, addition of ZhongGuo VAT tax rate. CK-ERP is an open source accounting/MRP/ERP/CRM system that runs on top of multiple middlewares. It comprises 22 modules - Administration, i18n, Contact Management, Customer Relationship, Customer Self Service, Vendor Relationship, Ledger, Bank Reconciliation, MRP, Warehouse, Inventory, Service, AP, AR, PO, SO, Quotation, POS for Cashier, POS for Manager, HR, Staff Self Service and Payroll. Large no of CCK fields

I have a site with a large no of CCKs and CCK fields -- At a creatin stage I am unable to add any CCK fields, I get an error called 'mysql gone away'! Is there any settings in Mysql which I need to make for sites with large CCKs. Thanks Shyamala

Htmlarea and slideshow

Hello, I have 2 issues with htmlarea and Slideshow. a) Html characters like ' are shown this way d'instructor > d'instructor either if I use htmlarea or not b) I'd like to hide the htmlarea on Slideshow description textareas, I tried with *.description and *submitted[desctiption] and not working thank's for all! Development Site -- Keep the Public Out

So I'm working with an organization on a site rebuild. I have a test site set up on my domain. My problem is that the "Welcome to your New Drupal Site" page is showing up on the home page for anonymous users. I've installed the Content Access module ( http://drupal.org/project/content_access) to make it so that the staff and I can all work on the site and the content won't be available to the public till we launch (and change the access settings). I created a block with permissions set to "anonymous" and display set to "only on <front>"; it displays in the center of the page (thanks to LiteJazz Theme) telling anonymous folks that this is a development page, with a link to the old/live site. When I (role=webmaster) or staff (role=staff) log in, everything is fine, just like I want it -- the block disappears and all the content appears. I just want the "Welcome to your New Drupal Site" to disappear for anonymous users. I tried making the "You are on a test site" a node instead of a block. That makes the "Welcome to your New Drupal Site" dissappear for anonymous users, but the "You are on a development site" node, continues to appear after staff or I have logged in. I've tried in Content Access to just check "anonymous" -- but it seems that module doesn't work the same way as the blocks code does. Is this a bug in the Content Access module? Any other ideas on how I can get what I want? Thanks, Shai

Views on Homepage

Hi! I have a two panel homepage, the left panel is drawing from a view and so is the right. www.crocodyl.com The panels are pulling from 2 separate page views, each is set to display one content type when it is published and promoted to front page. The problem I am hitting is that the panels are displaying the entire post instead of a clipped version. I can't seem to figure out which setting to change, I would like it to cut off at about 500 characters and display the next post below, like a blog in each view. It looks great if the new content (Company profiles) is really short, but once more information is entered in, it starts to make the front page really long. --ian--

I'm pretty sure there's a contrib module that will let you restrict the number of nodes a user can create. I don't know if it gets any more detailed. This is rather vague, but I didn't see anyone else answer... Troubleshooting URL rewrites

Yes! It would be nice if drupal gave me a little more information about just what fails. It sends you off to http://staging.example.com/drupal/admin/settings/clean-urls where you see a "404: Not Found" error. All my logs say is that I tried to reach a page that didn't exist (er, and that the page was http://staging.example.com/drupal/admin/settings/clean-urls which, indeed, does not exist) I did read through http://drupal.org/node/15365 I did set the rewrite base. Changing the Apache <directory> directive to "AllowOverride All" does work, but I'd like to limit the change to the drupal directory, which I haven't been able to do. 15 <Directory /srv/apache2/staging/drupal/> 16 AllowOverride All 17 </Directory> Doesn't get me anywhere. Adding a rewrite base to the directory setting doesn't help anything: 15 <Directory /srv/apache2/staging/drupal/> 16 AllowOverride All 17 RewriteEngine On 18 RewriteBase /drupal 19 </Directory> I don't know any more tricks, myself. I'm not sure how to interpret the rewrite rule suggested on drupal.org ... <Directory /var/www/example.com> RewriteEngine on RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA] </Directory> I realize that this is an Apache question at this point, but it requires just enough knowledge of Drupal that I sort of need help here.
