Dear Support Folks:
I have some questions about the flexibility of Drupal to be search engine friendly and would like to ask you about Drupal’s capacity to accommodate these demanding needs.
*Content*
1. What fields does Drupal have for SEO friendly tags?
- Title
- Meta Description
- Meta Keywords
- H1-H3
- Alt Tags
- etc.
2. Is Drupal capable of creating customized and unique metadata?
- For example, is it possible to integrate metadata formulas to generate variation amongst large amounts of similar pages
- Example: a city page for every city in the world.
3. Does Drupal allow for the creation of customized SEO image filenames?
- Is image alt text customizable?
4. What SEO features does the forum have for user generated content?
5. To what extent is there accommodation Mobile device content compatibility?
6. Are there set rules for pagination?
- Can you create rules for paginations?
7. Is there HTML5 compatibility?
* *
*Architecture*
1. What changes have been made to Drupal taking into account recent SEO page speed and weight factors?
- Limit DNS calls
- Limit on-page Javascript code
2. How does Drupal generate page hierarchy - Parent/Child internal linking?
3. How does Drupal generate standard webpage breadcrumbs?
- Are they customizable?
- Can they be customized apart from parent/child linking?
- Example: Parent could be a date vs. a topic/category
4. Does Drupal have the ability to generate customized XML sitemaps on a daily basis?
*URLs*
1. What solutions have been integrated into Drupal which address URL Canonicalization issues?
a. One solution could be use of 301s, for example.
b. Canonical Tags
c. Others?
2. Can Drupal reconcile capitalized and non-capitalized versions of the same URL?
3. Can Drupal reconcile multiple encoded versions of a same URL?
Thanks in advance for the replies!
