Hi All I am using Drupal 6.20. Theme I use is "marinelli\alagna".
I have two problems. Please let me know how can I fix those.
1. When I access page "?q=user" , I get a page having two textfield one for user name and other for password. The width of these two text fileds are looking different (user field width looks more). Checked the code, looks in code for both these textfields are having same length (60). This is I am observing with IE8. However when I use firefox both these fields width looks same. Please suggest what to do so that both in IE8 and Firefox the width for both user name and password fields look same.
2. The look and feel of Navigation menu is much better than other custom menu-blocks. I have a custom menu-block, where I have parent menus leaf menus etc. In Navigation menu block, parent menu's left icon is a small arrow tip, leaf menu's left icon is a small circle. In Custom menu block, parent menu's left icon is a small circle, leaf menu's left icon is a small circle.
I want to see Custom menu block's parent menu's left icon as an arrow tip. Please suggest what should be done.

Hi, I plan to build website about Rotue 66. And. according to my flow- chart, it will be a little bit more then basic site. Basic plot: on home page you will have an image (US map, or 8 Route 66 states map) with links to select a state. Once you select a state you will have a) list of cities (places) within the state you selected in the order they appear on the Route 66 (E.g. Kansas: Galena, Riverton, Baxter Springs. The order is from Chicago, IL to Los Angeles, CA) b) Google map with needles pointed to the cities within the state To see Places, you have to select a city from the list or the map. Once a city is selected a page should show a) list of Places in the city in the order they appear on the R66 (Cicero, IL: Cindy Lyn Motel, Henry;s Drive Inn, Robin Hood Muffler Shop, Bunyon's Hot Dogs) b) Google map with needles in Places. Clicking on the Place link on the list or clicking on the needle on the map, you will get to the Place page with more info about the Place: Name (title), History (body), Thumbnail, Location (geo- coordinates), Link to Galery/Photo album, Address. City, State. Zip info, etc.
It would be great to have multi-level menu "Places" on Main Manu where first level are States, second level Cities within the State you rolled-over. And, of course, States (first level) is clickable too and will show you page with cities in selected State (List/Google map)
I have two options to do this: a) using CodeIgniter and have mach more control over it (already know how to do that but it's a lot of coding involved) b) using Drupal7. It's probably much faster and safer but how much time I need to build something like this as a newbie with limited experience building very simple websites with Drupal 6 and 7 (static pages, contact form, forum, blog, and some work using View to show News on front page, block and News page)
Any thoughts?

This is what bother me a most. To test, I installed D7 on my local machine and created content type "Place". Added image field (thumbnail), 5 text fields (Address, City, State, Zip, Phone). Added a node and got, for Address part: Address: 123 Main St. City: Drupal Town State: DS Zip: 12345 Phone: 123-456-7890
Looks ugly. I removed labels but Address label on the top and put Phone label inline. I got: Address: 123 Main St. Drupal Town DS 12345 Phone: 123-456-7890
Better, but still ugly. For a last two hours I was trying to google ho to fix this and get city, state and zip in one line - no luck.
The space between Thumbnail and Address is to small - how to make it bigger. I was google-ing too. Again no luck.
To solve this I believe simple, kind of basic, problem, I need Forum and this list, I have to wait couple hours, maybe day or two. What can I expect when it comes to something "larger"?
If I have to "correct" this in CodeIgniter, it's matter of minutes.
But, are these Drupal "baby steps" something I HAVE TO go through as a beginner, as everybody else? Or am I taking wrong approach?
I'm not trying to say or prove anything. I'm just asking you for your opinion and just trying to make decision what to use for my next website.

I would either use CSS to correct this, or add a computed field ( http://drupal.org/project/computed_field) with city, state and zip in one line and hide the original fields.
