Some clarifications

Hello, First, I solved for the formatting parameters, I used full html input option. Second, I would like to know how may I to move the position of the main links of Using a minelli template (home,..etc.) from the current position, high/right and one side by another horrizontally, to the left side of the screen and in vertical position and one below to the other one. They are primary links. I even tried to change the position of primary links using the block settings.I set the position of primary links in the left sidebar but after that I saw the duplicate of these links: in the original position and inthe position where I would to fix it. At the end, would you mind to explain me in general how may I to move the blocks? Thanks in advance for all. Best regards, Sauro

Formatting text of contents

I don't know if bringing the law into it will do any good or not, but what about fighting software with software? I'm not really familiar with this sort of content grabbing but maybe someone who knows more about it has an idea of how we can make the mailing lists less palatable? Is there something that could be done in the configuration that would screw up their system without making it impossible to use for legitimate users? Basic building of one web site

Hello, I'm a new user of drupal and I need to build one really simple web site. It should have one menu with 4 links, one header,one footer and The other div of the homepage should contain some basic information. Can you advice me what is the simplest theme to do this? And above all can you give me the main steps that I should do to creat this simple page? I'm sorry for this simple question but I miss this information. Thanks in advance Best regards, Sauro

Unable to connect to Postgres via UNIX domain socket

I don't know if MySQL had the equivalent to this, but with PostgreSQL, you can connect to a unix domain socket instead of TCP/localhost. This has the advantage of being faster because it doesn't have the overhead of TCP. It doesn't seem as if Drupal's connection scheme is capable of supporting this. Using raw pg_connect() in php, the connection would be established thusly: pg_connect('user=drupal dbname=drupal host=/tmp'); Optionally, the host= could be omitted entirely, and the PG drivers will default to connecting to the local socket in /tmp. if I tweak the following: $db_url = 'pgsql://drupal@/tmp/drupal'; It doesn't work. I assume the url decoding is barfing on that. Leaving out the host name causes a similar error. Is this possible? I suppose it's not the end of the world if it's not, but I thought I'd ask. -- Bill Moran http://www.potentialtech.com

Possible to set default input format based on role?

Hello, In Drupal 5.1, is it possible to set the default input format for specific roles? Basically, I've got a role setup for content editors on the site. For them, I'd like to allow pretty much full html. For anonymous users, I don't want to allow any. All they'll be doing is posting comments anyway. Is this possible to do? I know I can have users select the input format for each one, but I'd like to set defaults for specific roles. - jody

Forms in Nodes

Hello Drupalers, I have searched high and low for a solution. I am looking for a module or simple programmatic way for "non-programmers" to be able to add forms to panels. One panel shows a view and the other would show a CCK node/add/*something* form associated with that view. The "non-programmers" in question have learned how to create new CCK types and Views as needed. Adding the form to the panel is the last step. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
