One more thing. I have few not used domains. Would it be better/easier to install Drupal version of existing website on not-used domain, on the same server, same hosting company, same account, and them "switch" mysql and "sites"? I'm assuming it could be less work and faster then upgrading from local machine? Problem with ubercart

Folks: I am setting up a store with ubercart (Drupal 6.20) I have an item named "Store" in the Primary links menu. The link is http://mysite.com/catalog This menu item won't show unless I'm logged in as an administrator. I can't find a setting for this. When I set the "Store" menu item to link to a node, it behaves normally. There must be something in the catalog that affects this. Where do I find a setting? Or, what's up? Thanks, Bill William A. Windows Live Domains SDK

Hi, I'd like to provide all the users who sign up for an account with my site an email adress provided by windows live mail. I've setup my domain name MX and CNAME records and got it all working with Windows Live Domains, however this means that I'd have to manually create email accounts for every user. Apparently its possible to automate this task using the Windows Live Doamins SDK. I do not quite know how to use the SDK or programme API calls to the Windows Live Server. I was wondering if any of you may have done something simliar or even be able to point me in the right direction. Is there a Druapl Module to help me do this? many thanks, Ayath

Move site from Web server to local on MAMP

Folks: Drupal 6.19 I want to move my existing web site from my web server (it works fine) to my local MAMP installation. I'm doing this because I want to learn how to use ubercart without messing up my working web site. I have several working MAMP installations, but can't get the downloaded one to work. I've exported the web version and imported the database into the MAMP version. No problem. I've copied all of the files from the web site to the MAMP site. No problem. I've modified the setups.php folder to account for the MAMP port for the db and base URL port (8889 and 8888), I've run update.php with free access set to true. The front page shows up fine, BUT: Here's the problem: When I click on any of the menu buttons, I get a "The requested URL /node/51 was not found on this server." error. BUT: if I use http://baseURL/?q=node/4 address (for example), I get the page. But I have clean urls set to true and addresses like: http://baseURL/node/4 give me the "page not found" error. I also get this error with URL's like: http://baseURL/admin/settings/clean-urls I DO have cleanURL's turned on, but obviously there is something I need to change that I don't know about. Weird authentication popup coming up on my Drupal 6 site

Hi everyone, When I go to my Drupal 6 professional blog, http://awebfactory.com.ar , I get a popup (whether logged in or not) that says: "Authentication required" A username and password are being requested by http://dc2009.drupalcon.org. The site says: "drupalcon security lockdown" When I hit cancel, everything is OK, until I access another page and the same thing happens. It's Drupal 6, and I have just upgraded Drupal and all modules to latest release with no exceptions. I deleted the .htaccess and replaced it with a new one from the Drupal 6 release. I am new to drupal 7 How to insert an image gallery in drupal 7? Please explain the whole procedure from which modules to install, how to upload the images, how to setup content type and how to insert the gallery in drupal 7 (please give details so other newbies can learn from this). PS: I am using the linux pan newsreader for several other mailing lists which I find more easy to use, I check pan several times a day and learn a lot :-) I have made a small minihowto about how to use pan: http://minihowto.org/pan-minihowto.txt I am already following "gmane.comp.php.drupal.support" on pan but this list is probably more about php which I do not know much about *smile*
