Hi, I have seen a few posters on here with visual impairments. I would like to use some sort of spam prevention on my Drupal 7 site and would like to know what has worked best for you? Saving a node programmatically

For Drupal 7, I'm attempting to create a new node and save it in code. It was working at one time, but now is not and I cannot figure out what it is I did to break it. The node object appears to be correct both before and after the save. The node gets created and saved in the database, but only the title is saved with it. None of the data for the body or any of the custom fields gets saved. I've been over the code a hundred times, tweaking this and that. I've reviewed a.d.o, blog postings, tutorials and various code, and I can't figure out what I've done wrong. large db problem thanks to displaysuite

Ok, if I can not get this fixed, would there be a way to at least some how drop the node table in to my new db so I do not have to go through all the hours of working on entering it again. I have tried other backups using backup and migrate but even when I go way back I am getting an error. I am just using the default profile with my default db I have a couple of manual backups and 7 days worth of scheduled backups and I have a few before I installed displaysuite. What happen is I went to adjust the path in modules content "my show" filed I created I clicked on I believe it was edit fields" sorry I can't remember the exact one I have no drupal 7 to look at right now, but it is where you can adjust and configure your fields and it just blew up at that point. Now display suite did not install and had an error and I read that they have a fix, but I can't install it if I can not even get access. At any rate any suggestions on how I can gain my site back even if I have to start from scratch, I am hoping there might be a way I can at least get my nodes back I can create the views easily enough thanks to others help on the list here. I do have backups, but I can't seem to get them going so are the defaults not good to use in the backup and create migrate script. I'd rather have the site blow up now and not when it is been life for a few weeks. displaysuite module

Would anyone know how to manually remove this module as I got an error on install and when you uncheck the module there is no uninstall option for it. as of right now my db it trashed with the following error: Error message PDOException : SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'test_drupal7.ds_view_modes' doesn't exist: SELECT t__0.* FROM {ds_view_modes} t__0; Array ( ) in ctools_export_load_object() (line 427 of /home/test/public_html/7/sites/all/modules/ctools/includes/export.inc). II think this relates to the slide show module but I am not sure so I am asking the support list. I am sorry if I am missing something simple because I think I have seen this before but I cannot find it. In <Create Content Type> we create the component and in admin/structure/types/manage/TYPENAME it provides the menu selection mechanism I was looking for. So the process would be to create the content type and not select <Create Menu Item> but instead save then go to admin/structure/types/manage/TYPENAME and place the content type in the appropriate menu from there. Hi, when a user logs in to my drupal 7 test site the log out link is no longer showing, however it is showing for me as admin. I am not sure what I could of disabled to make this go away. Menu problems Drupal 7

When creating a content there is menu selector at the bottom that allows placement of the content into a selected menu. This menu selector provides only <--Main--> and is no guarantee that the choice will indeed display in the menu Drupal 6 provided selection of every menu on the system. What has changed? If I create a new menu, add the block to Left sidebar or Sidebar first it does not display. Flush cache in Drupal or drush is no help. What am I doing wrong? Thanks Roger
