Dear all, I want to set up a drupal site with a query form for users to introduce text in different fields or pick up options from a menu which will correspond to different columns in a mysql database. I have seen that, for instance, this site is doing something very similar http://ipl.uv.es/?q=publications/articles And I think they are using "views". Nevertheless, I must admit I have not the slightest idea of how to create this search form. There must be a clear documentation somewhere because the internet is crowded with search forms and query sites. Still, since my mother tongue is not English, I seem not to be able to find the correct keyword to google for. Is there a "howto" guide for this somewhere? If not, how should I focus this? Had a similar problem when I inadvertently changed the permissions on "settings.php" to no access to anyone. Kept returning to the configuration screen. I think it should be "read only" to owner, group and others. D7 menu entry does not show up

Hello, does any one have an idea for the following problem. In D7 when I used 'add link' to add a menu entry to the navigation menu, it does not seem to work (anymore). The action results in 'link succesfully added', but the link itself does not show up. However when I dump the database the menu entry seems to be present, it "simply" does not up in the menu. I add the same menu multiple times, and each time I add the menu entry it gets added to the database (dump database and grep for the menu entry being added). Is there a way to get this menu to show in the navigation menu? -- Richard

I have just set up a new site with core 6.20 and CCK 6.x-2.8 created a new content type, and managing fields on the new type and in the add field area, there is no text control to allow a field label to be entered, which it then complains that the label is required. What could cause this?

Ubercart-HELP

Hi, 1) Just wanted to know if there was way to disable all the pricing for certain items in Ubercart. So when I am creating a new product the fields list price,sell price etc. aren't shown. I will be using store credits as a payment option. 2) Is it possible to display all my products as a dropdown list on one page. I am selling virtual goods so don't need catalogues or any images, 3) Would it be possible to bypass the checkout page and order review/confirmation page. So when a user selects an item and clicks 'add to cart' the order is immediately placed and they don't have to click any more buttons. (Essentially wiping out the need for a cart facility.) Hello, Whenever I want to administer contents, I get an error message from Drupal. Please see on the Subject line. Please help provide step by step how to fix the the problem. I'm pretty much in the learning stage now, working thru the Pro-Drupal book that uses version 6.x so that is why I'm going to stick with that for the moment. My first proof of concept will be a survey form. I've installed the webform module and it seems pretty easy to use. The results page is not too exciting, so I plan on doing something else to display parts of the results in a more graphic form (pie chart, bar graphs etc) Will need to research more on the options available to me in that area.
