How to Redirect a .com to a .org?

Hi, I am wondering if anyone could direct me to a tutorial that illustrates how to get a example.com to redirect to an example.org. Can this be done from within Drupal by editing a file? I have edited the httaccess file before so that example.org redirects to www.example.org and my gut tells me that I could do the same to redirect from example.com and www.example.com to www.example.org as well. I just don't know what code to put in there. Any links on how to do this are greatly appreciated. crocodyl

Encoding issues again

Many thanks to those who responded to me earlier. I have looked further into this, but I still have a problem. In the locales_target table, the French for February is stored as fÃ©vrier, but if I put the French word for February (février) into the database in a node (marked as French), it is stored as février not as fÃ©vrier. Manage all subscriptions

I have installed the subscription module and for the heck of me I can't find any admin place to list and manage all subscriptions, short of going user by user and checking them. Default select item in a select list from cck

Hi all. I have select widget (cck) and I get the array with values from a function. How can I define the "selected select item" ? in a normal form I use the default_value, but in a form with cck ? Footnotes & Citations?

I run a journalistic corporate accountability site, crocodyl.org, and we are looking for a solution to include detailed footnotes of all of our sources at the bottom of each node. Such as: time of citation, URL, name of source, etc.. I looked at all of the modules but could not find one that offers this specific functionality, has anyone seen this implemented on a Drupal site? If so, could you provide links? crocodyl

File Upload With Spaces Not Always Handled Properly

Drupalers, I went looking through my watchdog tonight (really should do that more) -- at: admin/logs/watchdog and I noticed that there were some page not found errors for file downloads like this: File name is: example file.doc The URL that works is: example.com/files/example%20file.doc The URL that is showing up on the watchdog page-not-found entry is: example.com/files/example%2520file.doc Testing from my own browsers I couldn't repeat the problem. What browser or what situation is causing the space to be replaced by %2520 instead of %20? Has anyone ever seen this before? Is there a utility for the upload module that rips out spaces from file names? I'm having a problem with Thickbox having trouble with images with spaces in their names. Looking forward to hear about others' experiences on this one. Thanks, Shai

Question about headings and links

Hi, I'm currently developing a website and I created a static page called 'Welcome' and promoted it to the front page. However, this is appearing as both a Heading Level 2 and a link, I only want it though, to be a heading level 2, as there is no point in having it as a link as well, if it already exists on the front page. Is there away I can remove the link attribute? Regards, Stuart.

a question about poll

Hi, I'm not sure how to implement this feature: I'd like to create a questionaire. For example, a form of series of 7 8 questions, where users can answer checking radio button, and the last field is a simple text edit where an user can give his opinion about the site. Now, I can easily make a form with cck, so I obtain the form in 5 minutes, but, how Can I display all the results? I'd like to obtain a thing as: 50 users has compiled the questionaire. field 1, site-navigation: 15 users say good, 23 say bad, etc. This is only for me, not for users, so results can be displayed in any manner, no problem for layout. Alternatively, are there any voting modules that can do this? Thanks in advance. -- Simone Dal Maso. Hello, can I control if other blocks are visible on a content-block? I'm usin' http://drupal.org/project/block_assign to assign block on nodes, and want to show a default block when I haven't assign a block. thank's! pol

Event-manager

I installed the event-manager module so I can manager registration for events. The event-manager module allow for a confirmation e-mail to be sent upon successful registration. The problem is no e-mail is being sent, or maybe the e-mail is being sent but is not received. I tested this with multiple e-mail addresses, and the result is the same - no confirmation e-mail. I know mail is set-up to work correctly with the site because when I register for the site itself I receive a confirmation e-mail. This set-up is taking place on a remote web-server, one that I don't have control over. I tested the scenario described above on my LAMP server with postfix installed, and I experience different results. Registration for the website itself works without a problem. However, when registering for an event, I only receive confirmation e-mails to my gmail account (non of my other e-mail accounts receive confirmation for registration), and I do not receive any cancellation confirmations on any e-mail accounts. I checked my /var/log/mail.log file, and the log shows the same , regardless if I receive the e-mail or not. Below is a snippet from my mail log.
