How can I tell if a user if a user is a member of an OG group?

I would like to show a link on a group node if a user is a member and another link if they are not. I looked through og.module and found the $subscription variable. I tried both the following without any success: <?php if($subscription == 'active') : ?> already a member! <?php else: ?> Join Today! <?php endif; ?> <?php if($subscription) : ?> already a member! <?php else: ?> Join Today! <?php endif; ?> But I'm getting "Join Today" showing whether the user is a member or not. I imagine this means the $subscription variable isn't available in this context. does anyone know how to find out if a user is a member of an OG group? Neil

extra period in Account details admin mail

Hi, this is my first message to the list, hope someone can help me... I'm getting an odd error in the admin email messages sent when a new member has signed up and is pending approval. The messages are the standard "Joe Smith has applied for an account. http://website.net./user/8/edit" but there's a period being added after the site name and before the / user. I haven't seen this with any other drupal installations I have on other domains - at least that I can remember. This is with Drupal 5.7. Any ideas how to fix this? It's not a major issue, but it's good to be able to click the link in the email notification and go straight to the user's page to activate their accounts. Thanks, Paul Collett

acces denied (session problem?) 5.7

I'm experiencing a similar problem described in many posts that seems related to session handling. I'm using PHP 5.0.4. User log in... but it get the access denied page. That happens randomly... sometimes they can login, sometimes they can't. The problem seems related to the client setup... since I can't reproduce the problem here... but still... they are experiencing this problem just with drupal on that hosting. They are using IE7. I've tested with IE7 and never experienced the same problem. A first step would be to identify what's different in their setup that make them experience this problem... a second step would be to make the website work independently of their setup. It doesn't seems to be the problem described here: http://drupal.org/node/139464#comment-254334 since they don't have multiple cookies nor they get the wrong password message. I'm going to see if this get fixed pressing the magic "Reset" button in IE and see if they experience the same problem on other drupal sites or on any other web sites... but does anyone has any clue about similar situations? Hi all. I'm totally new to drupal. Reading the getting started guide for 5.7, the quesion "Which versions are supported?" is answer by "Only the current release and one previous." So, I'm wondering since 6.2 version is the current one and 6.1 version exist[s/ed] does that mean that 6.1 and 6.2 are the only supported ones? Thanks, -Gezim

Mandatory files in a module.

Hello Everyone, My team is working on providing NetBeans support for Drupal. As a part of this, I am currently involved in writing a plugin in NetBeans, which would assist in coding a module. The plugin is a wizard which would ask for a module name and on clicking finish button, would generate the new module folder along with the necessary files and code templates. I wanted help in this aspect. As per my understanding, <modulename>.info, <modulename>.install and <modulename>.module are the mandatory files in a module, right? Also, what would be the boilerplate code that I can put inside these files? Thank for the help in advance. With Regards, Sujit Nair

NetBeans Support for Drupal -- Documentation

Hello everyone, My team over here has come up with a documentation for supporting hosting Drupal through NetBeans (which includes downloading CVS, creating PHP project, configuring project with Apache Web Server and running it, all through NetBeans). The documentation also provides steps to support Drupal on Windows, Linux and Solaris too. Currently, I have uploaded the document here <https://nbdrupalsupport.dev.java.net/>. I just wanted to know is it possible to publish the content in Drupal Handbook or at some location on drupal.org? Update.php error with Drupal 6

Hello, I'm running a new installation of Drupal 6.2, and I have a problem running update.php. Going to example.com/update.php, the page looks fine except for a red box at the top that says this: warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/clients/client0/web2/web/sites/all/modules/devel/devel.module:1538) in /var/clients/client0/web2/web/includes/common.inc on line 141. So, I click Continue anyway, which takes me to the next page. This has the same error at the top. I click Update, and this gives me a blank page. Any ideas what may be going wrong? - jody

Upload of files quietly fails (Drupal 5.7)

I'm using Drupal 5.7 and at every place where I could upload files. For example I want to attach a file to a node: I choose the file, click on upload(or how it is called in English, I'm using the German translation) and then a progress bar occurs for some seconds. After the progress bar vanished, the web interface shows no uploaded files and the file directory is empty. The Upload module is activated and I should have all privileges to upload a file because I'm the initial and only user of that installation. Through the help of http://drupal.org/node/92944 I figured out that there is an UPLOAD_ERR_NO_TMP_DIR while uploading the file, but Drupal is able to write to the tmp-Directory I configured and I checked that there are no open_basedir-restrictions for that diretory.
