Normal search box form is send only there is #type => submit

Hi all. I have the standard search form . I have (via hook_form_alter) unset the $form['submit'] button and I have insert this //unset($form['submit']); $form['search_block_form_keys']['#size'] = 18; $form['sumbit2'] = array( '#value' => '>>', '#prefix' => '<div class="submit"><a onclick="submitSearch();return false;" href="#">', '#suffix' => '</a></div>', ); drupal_add_js(" function submitSearch() { document.getElementById('search-block-form').submit(); return false; } ","inline"); break; I have thinked that this worked (when click on the A TAG my "submitSearch()" function is call) but it si not true. Automatically post node to forum topic

When a user creates a node and clicks save, i would like the same title to automatically be used as a forum topic. When I post a node (in this case a custom node with CCK) I would like a "Discuss in forum" link, which links to that title in the forum. If they click on the normal menu Forum link, they get forum topics of all the titles I created as my custom nodes. I had a look at this: http://drupal.org/node/50716 but it doesn't answer the question (from 2006). Searching didn't come up with anything and then I hit the "oh no 20 searches in 1 hour) problem. ps. Why isn't there a support forum?

$form[#method] = 'get' - no form validation (drupal 5.7, 6.2)

hello, I have small problem with drupal forms. i have function like: function some_menu_callback() { $form = drupal_get_form('some_form'); if (count(form_get_errors('some_form')) != 0) return $form; // do something .... return $form . $some_results; } function some_form() { $form['#method'] = 'post' $form['#multistep'] = true $form['#redirect'] = false ... return form; } when I use $form['#method'] = 'post' it works fine ... but when I change form method to 'get' (because internet exporer has problems with printing "post-ed" form-results) the form_validate() hook isn't called and form_get_errors return always 0; how can I force the form to always call hook_validate? or is there better way how to create search-like forms witch display same form + results when they are submitted ? thanks for your help

Menu link to views with filter problems

Hello I'm usin an argument to taxonomy filter the content of a view, (for example http://gne.polnetwork.biz/productes/2 ) But now I need to add a select list exposed filter, and need to create menu entries for specific filter settings ( http://gne.polnetwork.biz/productes/?filter0=2 for example) To put productes/2 on menu link works well, but if I put productes/?filter0=2 the system puts this on the browser url productes/%3Ffilter0%3D2 How can I arrange this? Seeking Advice on Integrating drupal

I need some consultation. I've used Drupal for lightweight deployments (mostly personal blogs). But I've got a potential client who is interested in drupal for e-commerce. We're thinking through a couple of issues, and we'd like some advice: Our client uses MSSQL for their inventory, etc. Since drupal doesn't support anything but mysql and pgsql, and since their tables would be different from drupal's regardless, we're trying to work out the best way to handle integrating drupal into their existing infrastructure. We've considered writing a script to pull data from one database and use it to update the other. We've also considered hacking the relevant modules (Ubercart) to do this on demand. Does anyone have experience with this?

Clean urls

I'm having an issue getting clean urls to work. I'm set-up on a shared hosting plan, and my host verified mod_rewrite is already enabled on the server side. I tried different settings in .htaccess, but nothing seems to work. Here's the interesting part: When I run the "clean URL test" it passes and the radio buttons to enable clean urls become functional. However, after selecting enable, then clicking save configuration, the selection defaults back to disabled. My drupal install is located in a directory called httpdocs, which I was told is equivalent to /var/www. I did not put the drupal install in a folder of its own, rather I just installed all the files in the httpdocs directory. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks, Troy

Block visibility quandry

I have a block which I show on a user's main page, user/1, user/2, etc. I have set block visibility to "only show on pages" with user/* entered below. Unfortunately, it's also showing on user/register, user/password. I don't suppose I can use regular expressions to make the wildcard ONLY numeric, can I? How would I get the block to show on user/7 but not user/register? Thanks Neil

Upgrading Drupal 4.7.2 to 5.7 and CCK breaks existing Paging

I'm upgrading a Drupal 4.7.2 site to 5.7, I've done this several times before but this is the first time I've run into this particular issue. Paging has stopped working. I already posted this as a support request at http://drupal.org/node/258014, but there were no responses so I thought I'd try here to see if anyone else has come across this. Building a 5.7 site for Jazz Club

Hello, I am not really a PHP guy, but I like Drupal better than Joomla even though it seems to require more skills, which kinda scare me. Sometime I feel I am not good enough to understand Drupal documentation. Anyway, I volunteered to build a site for a jazz club we have been performing for many years. The requirements as follow: - Show schedule - Dinner menu with specials - Performer info linked to schedule - Blog for show reviews - Weekly email for upcoming shows Questions: · Show schedule: I started with Event module. Is this the best option for my needs, or anyone knows something better? The first problem I encountered was that I can't find the way to change the Calendar page title from Events to Schedule: <http://s244141005.onlinehome.us/event> If anyone has any suggestion, appreciate it. I like this Calendar than Calendar module one. · Dinner menu: I was hoping there were a module for this, but I couldn't find any so I am about to jump onto CCK, hoping someone has better idea before I start. I am not too crazy about TinyMCE. It is much easier for me to do HTML coding for better control, but the jazz club has to be able to do this by themselves, and they don't do HTML. The problem with CCK image field is when there is no image assigned to it. It comes up with [?]. How others are dealing with this issue? · I need to make a routine for the owner to send out emails to their patrons for next week's show once a week. one session in multiple browser tabs/windows (drupal 5.7/6.2)

hello, We are using drupal for our intranet. Users need to work with multiple modules at once, so they open e.g. SMS module in one window and EMAIL module in another ... sometimes they experience "Validation error, please try again. If this error persists, please contact the site administrator." errors. Can one user work with multiple windows/tabs? thanks
