Display Node with Template

I have a site with a custom content type called Class. We have a file in the theme called node-class.tpl.php. Now the challenge is that we have need a URL like /featured_class which will search based on a boolean CCK and randomly select any class node which is marked as "Featured" and then display that. I can do this with SQL and then redirect to the class node, but then the URL changes to that of the node. They want the URL to stay the same, ie. featured_class. I can't wrap my head around this. I somehow need to get the node-class.tpl.php in there b/c there's a lot of code in there for displaying classes. The only solution I have thus far (that someone else gave me) is to use template_preprocess_page() to select that node template, based on the URL, and then use a custom function to find and load the node in question. I'm not sure it will work, but before I try, is there any other (better) way to do this? Thanks!

PHP Allowed Values for CCK Field as Associative Array

Support Folks, Need/Use-case: a very simple, lightweight UI for a customer to edit options on a select for a CCK field. Idea to solve it. Create an unpublished node (linked to via for the customer via a custom site-admin block) whose body field are the select-list options. One option per line. In the CCK field I'm using the PHP option to return an array to create the allowed options: This following code works... but is not quite what I want: (I know that the client input part should be sanitized for security... but I'm just trying to get it to work before I do that part.) $sql = "SELECT body FROM {node_revisions} WHERE nid=1274 ORDER BY timestamp DESC LIMIT 1"; $res = db_query($sql); $node = db_fetch_object($res); $arr = explode("\n",$node->body); return $arr from a node body field that looks like: Cats Dogs Goats It returns an indexed array like Array ( [0] => Cats [1] => Dogs [2] => Goats ) *Problem:* What gets stored in the database is the integer key from the indexed array created by explode(). The data integrity is thus completely dependent upon the order of the items listed. I don't want that. I want people entering the data to be able to change the order. *I want an associative array in which the keys and labels are the same.* Note that if, via the field configuration UI, I simply list the values in the allowed values box... Drupal turns that list into an associative array in which the keys and values are the same. Exactly what I want! But I don't know how to create that for the custom PHP value set. I'm putting the code here from CCK where this happens. I don't quite get it. Advanced Poll

Hi guys, Unfortunately, the Advanced Poll module is not yet available for D6: http://drupal.org/project/advpoll Does anyone here know much about this module? Like how stable it is on D6 and when it'll be ready? I'm quite eager to use Approval Voting for community elections. Cheers, Daniel.

Tribune D6 Page Title

Hi, How can I change the title of the Tribune chat module main page (Drupal 6)? I can change the title of blocks and menus but I can't find a way to edit the page title. question about table location_instance

The location table location_instance, as far as I've determined, supports either a location associated with a user (location_instance.uid) or with a node (location_instance.nid and vid). I would like to have a location associated with both. I have a module that does this and it seems to work okay for my purposes. I am wondering what problems I might encounter doing this.

FILE SYSTEM: PRIVATE vs PUBLIC

Ok I am confused about PRIVATE and PUBLIC set for the FILE SYSTEM I am taking a site and copying it to the same root area with a different name so I ended up with drupal 1 and drupal2. I also created a different temp directories, just to be safe. Drupal1 is the original and the FILE SYSTEM is set up to PUBLIC and everything works. On drupal2, If the FILE SYSTEM is set to PUBLIC then my ddblock module will not display pictures and I get an error message "The selected file 'D:\temp\filAB2.tmp could not be copied." But if I set drupal2 FILE SYSTEM to PRIVATE then everything works. Can some help understand why I can not set both the original and the copied site exactly the same? Thanks, Nestor

Help with CKFinder installation

Hi drupalers I've installed the module CKEditor into my website (not FCKeditor) and it works very well, so now i'm trying to install the filebrowser CKFinder but i getting the following error: CKEditor 3.1 You are using a feature that requires manual integration into config.php (either built-in filebrowser or quick uploads are enabled in the Avanzado<http://www.libreriadesalta.com.ar/admin/settings/ckeditor/edit/Avanzado>profile). Read instructions about enabling built-in file browser and add "require_once ..." statement in editor/filemanager/connectors/php/config.php. How to use two dbms for drupal

Hi all. I need to import an old site (based on a proprietary CMS based on postgres) on drupal 6.x based on mysql. I have thinked that two $db_url['XXX'] were enough, 1 (default) for mysql and the other (oldweb) for postgres. But I receive this error when I try to use the connection to postgresql: *Fatal error*: Cannot redeclare db_status_report() (previously declared in....... How can I connect to an postgres db if my site run on mysql? Redirect user to a acknowledgments page after a node submit

Hi all. When a user insert a content Drupal send him to the node page, but If the content is not published at run time the user see an Access Denied Page. How can I redirect the user to an "thanks" page ? Tnx. Consulting about installed modules

Hi: I need to know if exists any way (maybe through drush) in which i will be able to obtain the list of all modules installed on a particular drupal site. I would like to create an script to install all modules that i have in a site to another with a clean drupal installation.
