New theme: Holy Grail

After some cantankerousness with CVS, I have finally gotten this checked in. :-/ http://drupal.org/node/66150 This is intended as a sample theme for other themers. It is just Bluemarine redone to use "Holy Grail" layout, a 3 column pure-CSS layout described here: http://www.alistapart.com/articles/holygrail Hopefully it will prove useful to others, including those working on the new default theme (or not, if they're going a different direction). Playing with Yahoo Grid CSS

Just an FYI. Did an article on porting the Yahoo Grid CSS over for use with Drupal. It turned out to be remarkably easy to do the 2 column. I have a three column (1/2 or 1/2/3) base page.tpl.php figured out and will by writing that up as well. I know how to do a more flexible 3 column base (1/2, or 1/2/3 or 2/3) but just need to site down and work out all the bugs and write it up in the next week or two as well. I can see 4 column with regions being very easy now too as a next step. As I get a better understanding of what I am doing I'll convert these to handbook pages. http://www.blkmtn.org/node/336 Some of the css is sloppy but http://scratch.blkmtn.org is using the Yahoo Grid css now. Tango iconset: Default for drupal, is NOT GPL.

Hello, I only realised this today, but our guidelines speak about using tango as default iconset. We abide these rules very well, in the contribs the mayority if icons are indeed tango icons. But they are not GPL, nor can they be distributed as such. We should address this, and possibly choose another default iconset, or else change our licencing policy. «The Tango icons are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike license. The palette is public domain, it can be used and distributed freely. Developers, feel free to ship it along with your application. Heine has presented an Outline to the docs list to tackle the theme dev guide and make it more up to date/usable. It may be that this can be moved there, we'll see what happens and how it develops.
