Function to print the secondary element of a non-active menu?

While using primary links with secondary links as sub-items, is there a function to print all the secondary links for a given non-active primary link? For example: -A |-1 |-2 -B |-3 |-4 -C |-5 |-6 Let us say I click on primary link A but I'd like to print somewhere on the page the secondary links under B (3 and 4). Is there a way to do it? My PHP skills aren't that great and I've been reading a lot about Drupal but I can't seem to find the function I need to do that. Thanks for any help. -- Dany V.

Does anyone know of a script be it javascript or php that will allow me to generate images for example here with the current date that a page or article is published? I am codeing in gVim on windows, the encoding is utf8. But I didn't fount there is something strange in my source code... And, what does "have the utf8 BOM on" means? Thanks.

Simply a little test: 1,create a new theme folder "testfoo". 2,create a page.tpl.php which has a content: <?php print $content; ?> 3,create a node.tpl.php which has a content: <?php print $title; print $content; ?> Ok, now enable the theme, you will found there is a strange character before the every title except the first one. Is this a bug? Thank you !

color module and fixed colors

I'm using a slightly modified version of garland for a project, using the color module to shift all colors from blue tones to green tones. Now the problem that I have is that the stars indicating required fields are light blue instead of red, which makes their meaning less clear to the average user. There is a similar issues for message boxes, where warnings are blue but regular messages are red. The color module handbook at http://drupal.org/node/108459 gives a good explanation of the process, and indicates how to make sure that some colors are fixed (they stay the same no matter what the color scheme is). I added the "Color Module: Don't touch" marker in a comment as indicated, moved the "span.form-required" (used for the stars indicating required fields) after the marker and made sure that the color-shifted copy of style.css was regenerated, but for some reason the marker is ignored. So my question is: has anyone gotten this marker thing working, either with garland or with another theme? and if so, do you have an idea of what I could be doing wrong? Thank you, Florian

experiences with DW extensions?

I agree we need to do some ground work to figure out exactly what we want before we ask for it. Has anyone used a similar extension in DW before? I've used one for Mambo/Joomla! a while back but all that really did was give you a list of common variables to plug into a file. A helpful reference, but did not really change how I worked. What are the limits of a Dreamweaver Extension? I'd love to see some examples of similar extension applications if anyone has a link or extension name that may be relevant. Dreamweaver CS3 Extension for Drupal Themeing

Does anyone know of any plans to create an Dreamweaver CS3 Extension for Drupal Themeing? If not I would like to put some money in the pot to get one started if needed. Anyone else looking into doing the same? With the condition that it becomes an open source extension and is maintained till either Dreamweaver is completely gone (does not mean change of companies or name changes) or Drupal is (does not mean change of developers, companies or name changes). Porting Creative Commons designs

Hello, Over the years I ported some designs to Drupal, designs released under Creative Commons. Now I'd like to release them to the public and also port some new ones, to give back. I know that the drupal.org cvs is only used for GPL-ed code, but at the same time I see a lot of themes up there ported from other CC designs. My question is: is there a different policy for themes or it's just something which is being overlookd at this point? conditional output based on value of CCK field

I've got a CCK content type using a field called 'field_news_type' I'm looking to conditionally output some code based on the value of the CCK field. The Field has a possible 3 values: Editorial Full News Article Teaser Article I need to do something like: if $field_news_type = Retail Week Teaser { //dothis } Any pointers would be appreciated.
