hii , i am finding a lot of problem with webforms 1) theming the webform according to our requirement i.e how to call each element and arrange it. and need to make a text box based on wheather a radiobutton is checked or not. 2) using javascripts...i.e for validation and popups alerts . hello, I'm a volunteer firefighter. Recently our volunteer organization had a large amount of money stolen from us... We're looking to build a website so that we can update the community on different events and running different fund raisers. We're a non-profit organization. I'm looking for someone who's willing to make a drupal theme for our site. We're willing to link back to your site and mention you as a sponsor as well as give you our eid so that you can use it as a tax write off. I really hate asking for help like this but we could really use the help with a nice looking site for our community. Hi, I'm looking for a way to split up the navigation portion of a site in Drupal, to match the current static site. However, I don't know enough about the inner workings of the menu system to know the best way to approach it. The way it is statically, there is a high-level menu with links to 6 sections of the site. Below that whole chunk, listed completely separately, are the links to the different pages within the current section. You can see what I mean at http://www.stmichaelselca.org/edu_senior_high.html, on the left. How would I go about accessing those two separate pieces, for putting them into a theme? I'm not really familiar with all of the page variables available yet, but I don't think I've seen anything yet that quite addresses this case. User info in blocks

I'm trying to put together a block that will display additional information on users' blog pages. The person I'm working with wants some of the more "traditional" blog stuff, like a user picture, short bio, blogroll, and archives links shown in the sidebar. All of the actual information is supported by other modules, so I just need to be able to access it from within my theme. Essentially, what I'm going for is to load this block whenever the node type is 'blog post', and populate it with the content matching the author of the node. I am using a small snippet of code that someone else gave me already for displaying a title. This is residing in node-blog.tpl.php right now and works fine: <?php $the_user = user_load(array('uid' => $node->uid)); ?> <?php if ($the_user->profile_blog_title != ""): ?> <h2><?php print $the_user->profile_blog_title ?></h2> <?php else: ?> <h2><?php print $node->name . "'s blog" ?></h2> <?php endif; ?> What I've been using so far in my module's implementation of hook_block looks like this, which is just worrying about the picture for now: case 'view': $block['subject'] = t('Blog'); $the_user = user_load(array('uid' => $node->uid)); $user_pic = $the_user->picture; $block['content'] = $user_pic; return $block; However, this does not return anything, and upon further investigation with print_r(), it appears to be returning the anonymous user from 'uid', which of course doesn't have a picture associated with it. Part of what I'm not sure about is whether I can access the node information ($node->uid) from within the block, since it's in the sidebar, not the main content area where the node is loaded. Hello all! I'm one of the co-chairs for the Design and User Experience track for the upcoming Boston Drupalcon in March. We'd like to get all session proposals in by Monday, so if you've been sitting on a session idea but aren't quite sure about it, please give me a shout so we can help you out! Determine Home Page

I'm a newbie to Drupal Theme development, and I'm starting with BlueMarine because we want a table based theme. We're porting a static HTML web-site to Drupal, and it's all table-based. I'm gonna have to use that Import-HTML module to get the main content into Drupal. So this static web-site has it's own primary links in the header, and it's not consistent. One one home-page I have 6 items, on most of the other pages it is 3 items, and a few have 4 items. So, I am just wondering how I can determine which page is the home page ... then I can do some PHP to determine how to output that header menu. BTW, I did order the Drupal 5 Themes book, I own the Packt Drupal book, and the Pro Drupal Development book. I am also on the Drupal site and looking at the documentation of how to create a theme. So, I am doing as much research as possible. Thanks! Tom

Home page and other page not same theme. How ?

Hi, sorry for this possible stupid question: I need to create a theme where homepage use one theme and other page use another. For theme I intend the aspect that user see. In home page I have some blocks/regions, in the other page I have only one big block (for example). How can I do it ? RTFM are wellcome. Michelle asked me to send this on for her, as her email is acting up. -- Susan (HedgeMage) ======================================================================== If you maintain a theme on drupal.org, please read this. The Advanced Forum module needs to hook into _phptemplate_variables to work. I've done my best to minimize what needs to be merged by moving the bulk of it into a function. So all the user needs to add is this: if (module_exists('advanced_forum')) { $vars = advanced_forum_addvars($hook, $vars); } But even adding those three lines is hard for people who don't know anything about code. The problem is that _phptemplate_variables varies from theme to theme. Some themes don't have it at all and some have rather complex functions. My readme says to put those lines at the very top, which will usually work. But then there's themes like Garland that stick the "return $vars;" inside the "page" case and return just "array()" for everything else! So then I have to explain that $vars needs to get returned for all cases. This gets to be a big support pain trying to help people make this work with every possible theme out there. So what would be really, really awesome for me and for any other module maintainer that needs to add to _phptemplate_variables is if the theme maintainers would be willing to always return $vars from the function even if you only use a particular case in there. I'm not aware of any problems with just returning the $vars that is passed in to the function to begin with so it shouldn't affect your themes any and will make life easier for your users that need to add to the function. Of course, if you want to be really super helpful to me, you could add the advanced forum call right to the themes so the user doesn't have to do any merging. But I realize that's a lot to ask. :) Thanks, Michelle

Making blocks collapsible

Hi list, What's the easiest way to take an arbitrary D5 or D6 theme and make blocks collapsible with javascript? I'm thinking in particular of the Deco theme, and with various menus shown as blocks. I'd like to be able to make blocks collapsible and set as collapsed/uncollapsed by default, with visual feedback to show status. Thanks in advance, Tim -- Tim Vaughan 07725749263
