fixing broken nodes

I have some modules creating nodes calling directly node_save() and now when trying to rebuild permissions table drupal fails at a random node. I think this is caused because of some bad created nodes, and I thing I have found a way to fix them; but it fail because of memory limit. Is there a way to make node_load() not store nodes in cache? Migrate users from Thickbox to Colorbox

I'm the maintainer of Thickbox and co-maintainer of Colorbox. The Thickbox script is getting a bit old and I think Colorbox could be a good upgrade path. What are your tips and suggestions on how to best help/encourage the 17000+ Thickbox users to migrate? * Is a hook_upgrade() function to automatically update the "Display fields" settings a good idea? * Should I after some time unpublish the releases of Thickbox? * Any other tips? For people interested in checking out Colorbox I recommend the 6-dev version. Merging view and edit tabs.

Hi, I asked this on the support list, but maybe it's more appropriate on the dev list. I've tried to load the view using node_view (the idea being I'd put the resulting html snippet in something like #description or define a field for it to display) but CCK is complaining with the error below. Working through it now, but wondering if anyone has any better ideas to achieve what I want? warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in E:\websites\timesheet\sites\all\modules\cck\content.module on line 1284. I was wondering if there was an easy way to get the view and edit details onto the one tab? I have a content type created with CCK and I'm using CCK content permissions to set field level permissions on the fields so that role_1 can enter data and role_2 can view the data and then approve/decline it using another CCK field that role_1 cannot see or edit. The problem I have is that when the user of role_2 looks at the node the view fields are on the view tab and the approve field is all on its own on the edit tab. I would like to have both on the same screen so that role_2 can see what they're approving without having to navigate between the two tabs. Any ideas on doing this in an elegant way? Webforms Not Submitting

OK, So I'm pulling my hair out here and looking for some outside ideas to hopefully spur me in the right direction. I'm working on a series of sites that are all sister sites of a larger organization and so they all share a codebase and more or less the same module config. They are set up in a typical production enviroment with dev, staging, and live sites/servers. Here's where it gets funky. Because the organization is a fairly large well know org, the live servers are hosted directly by the TelCo provider and access is limited to one person on the dev team (not me). Heres my problem. On the live sites the forms, webforms specifically, but all forms also, when submitted seem to lose all post data and therefore don't submit anything. When submitted it doesn't even go through the validation handlers, and obviously from there the submit handlers either. There also seems to be no session info getting stored for the anonymous user. I am completely baffled by this. For some reason the only form that works is the login form and once logged in the forms all work correctly and submit. On dev everything seems to work fine and yesterday I got the code and the db dump from live and tested it on my machine and it seemed to work. So at this point I'm looking for anyone's logical thoughts or ideas as to why this might be happening or hopefully someone has run into this before and has an easy solution for me to use. ----- Adam A. Advice about "transactional" login for Kiosk

Hi - I'm working on a library system and adding a "kiosk mode" (possibly using the Kiosk module <http://drupal.org/project/kiosk>) 1. The site essentially presents the same information whether a user is logged in or anonymous. 2. The Drupal site uses a custom authentication plugin; authentication is actually done on the remote backend library server 3. A regular user logged in over the internet to a normal Drupal account can do things like request books, check account, etc, using Drupal the way it normally works. 4. A kiosk user (probably anon user) can do things that require authentication, but it must be a one-time authentication to the back-end server. We're calling it "transactional authentication". Basically, they'll never do a Drupal login, but when they want to do something that requires authentication, they'll provide their library number and password for one specific transaction (like requesting a book). I'd sure appreciate your suggestions about how best to do the "transactional authentication" part. It's pretty easy to start hacking at, but perhaps someone can suggest an elegant approach to this. Module with CCK field, View 3, and relationships

I'm porting Amazon module to D7. (All the code is in the dev version at http://drupal.org/project/amazon) I can't get views relationships to work correctly, and don't know if it's a views issue or fields issue (probably?) 1. The asin module in the Amazon project provides an ASIN field. This works fine already. You can add asin elements to a node, it displays right, themes right, everything. 2. Views is happy to do a node-type view and offers an ASIN as a field, and displays it, themed correctly. 3. Amazon provides a full amazon_item data type to views, quite a rich set of data about any amazon item, with prices, pictures, author, and all manner of detail data all available as views fields. Views is very happy to present all this data in an amazon_item-type view. 4. BUT: The relationship between a node with an ASIN field and the Amazon item data is not there. No relationship is offered. So the most popular feature of D6 Views with Amazon is out of reach: The ability to display an incredible views list of nodes with lots of rich data about the Amazon items in its fields. In D6, asin_field_settings() (hook_field_settings()) had the mapping, I think, provided in a $op called 'views data'. But hook_field_settings() was broken up into hook_field_schema() and hook_field_form_settings() and there doesn't seem to be anything like this any more. Just for reference (having come from a JSP/Servlet background), Tomcat is purely Apache's JSP container with just enough webserver to run standalone. Even if you were using Tomcat, if you were going to production you'd run the container in a full blown Apache httpd with httpd passing jsp/servlet requests off to the tomcat container. Anthony.
