Hi all, Is there a place where I could find the API documentation for the old Drupal 4.6 release? An archive, a site or something... I need to do some maintenance/development on some old Drupal 4.6 (the owners are not yet willing to upgrade to a more recent release) sites but I can't find the API's for 4.6 anywhere :(. How can I refer to the shopping cart using document.getElementById if it does not have an id?

I am trying to get the id for the drupal shopping cart widget so that I can refer to it within javascript. When I look at the shopping cart div within firebug (see below) it only lists the class and not the id and I tried referring to the class like it was the id but it was not recognized (i.e. drupal_add_js('alert(document.getElementById("panel-pane pane-block pane-uc-cart-0").value)','inline'); ). <div class="panel-pane pane-block pane-uc-cart-0"> How can I refer to the shopping cart using document.getElementById if it does not have an id? -- John J. Stew, Thanks for starting this thread. This is important stuff: http://area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/2978/drupal-answers I want to put my support behind this proposal and explain my thinking in doing so. The Drupal community is already growing faster than Drupal's infrastructure can easily support. With the release of D7 and all the other associated projects getting off the ground, drupal.org is increasingly often a bottleneck or blocker. We have wonderful hosts from OSUOSL, but the human resources needed to develop, maintain and manage our own infrastructure (which is a 24x7x365 job) are limited. We have to pick our battles. I much would rather see energy, effort, attention and money poured into continuing to improve our git and module infrastructure — which is much more deeply intrinsic to the health and future of the project — and accept that even though we *can* build our own StackOverflow (@eaton proved this already) that doesn't necessarily mean it's the best use of limited resources, or the best thing for the project. Drupal can theoretically/technically solve a lot of its own problems, but I think we often suffer from a "not built here" prejudice as a result. In the realm of getting good quality answers to Drupal questions out to the most people possible, I can't see how a StackExchange site would do anything but help. I would love to see the community embrace something really cool and useful from the wider Internet as a way to promote the project. Finally, I should say that I *do not* think a StackExchange answers site replaces anything. It's not an issue queue, and it's not a replacement for the dialogue that exist in the forums. I would say it's a new resource, something that can help the 10s of 1000s of people who will be trying to wrap their mind around Drupal in the coming year. Cheers -josh

Sqllite troubles

In the forena report wrirer module, I've been trying with little success to deliver some sample tables in a sqlite database that would be delivered with my module. Every time i try and add data, with another tool... The pdo object instnatiation returns 1 instead of an object. Anyone actually get the Pdo sqlite driver to work? Dev environment is php 5.3 on mac osx 10.4 dave Sent from my iPad

Hi, There has been some chatter on Twitter concerning the future of the forums on drupal.org. I don't want to relight any code wars on keeping it in house or using external solutions but...... Here is a well supported stackexchange proposal to provide Drupal answers. I added a hook_menu function to my product_type custom module but when I go to "https://mydomain/cart/refreshcart " it says "The requested page could not be found."

I added a hook_menu function (see below) to my product_type custom module but when I go to "https://mydomain/*cart/refreshcart* " it says "The requested page could not be found.". I have directly called other urls that were defined within the hook_menu function for the ubercart/uc_cart/uc_cart.module file and they came back fine like " https://mydomain/admin/store/settings/cart". Any idea why this would not work? That's actually not supported in hook_menu().If your goal is to put the asterisks into the URL itself, that's a really bad idea (I don't even think it's a valid URL).If they're not actually in the code, and you just put them there to make the paths stand out for us - sorry, just ignore me then. Besides clearing the cache, you might also make sure that uc_cart_block() is getting the right number of arguments, and that the path to uc_cart.module is correct. (The 'file' path in hook_menu() is relative to your module, not to Drupal's root directory.) That's all I can think of...-Karl.

Drupal Ubercart

Hi!!! I have the next problem. I have a role free for user assigned when the user create your account. When the user pay with paypal ubercart assign to user a new role for X days/years, and the user have 2 roles (free and premium). Can I reemplace the role ? Beacuse, I need to list the user that have free role acount. If I don't have a free role in account, the user and admin can't active the account, why ? Thanks.

I can't imagine any person who is writing a module for Drupal would not want this feature.Plus, there should be SOME documentation on the 'net about how to implement this. As far as I can tell, it's not. It's so much "not," that one person on here actually wrote to say that what I wanted was impossible - and this is a developer list.-Karl.
