I suspect I know the answer but am looking for reasons to convince a potential customer. The question is: Can you jump from Drupal 5 to Drupal 7 in one fell swoop? I see upgrading contribs as one of the biggest obstacles with API changes being the next one in line (assuming there is site-specific custom code). refreshing the main page after delete action in pop-up

I have the html table for showing my some information with fetching data from database. I have edit and delete action for every row. I doing both edit and delete action in pop-up using pop-up API module..Its working fine . Edit and delete action are getting done. After closing pop-up my main drupal page showing tables as it is before .After I doing manual refresh it showing updated table. I want it be auto-refresh as soon I confirm delete action in pop-up.How I can do it? One more thing Instead of pop-up I need Modal window. I know using modalframe module We can get modal window but I dont know how I can make settings for it .So please help me. for getting pop-up I just giving class to my anchor tag like this "<a href='doctor/delete' class='popups'> ". t('Delete')."</a>" find attached module. Hi, I am working in drupal 6, and developing small module. I want to use ajax in a formAPI for a particular division to use separate add, delete functionality without the whole page refresh. I was trying to get solution from internet but i could not implement it. it was giving error or i could not understand where the error is. Please help me by giving any small example module so that i can understand and implement it. I am new for drupal. Thank you jayakumar

Overriding function declared in another module

Hi, I'm trying to modify the delegate_menu_admin module in such a way that the node/add/page form will show the Menu Settings for users with "administer some menus" permissions. In it's current form the module will allow users with this permission to add pages via node/add/page and subsequently link them to menu items via admin/build/menu without having full "administer menu" access. However, this two step approach is not very convenient. The problem I face is the fact that menu_alter_form() declared in menu.module (Drupal 6.2) unconditionally overwrites $form['menu']['#access'] with "user_access('administer menu')" where I want it to also honour user_access('administer some menus'). I also want to limit the presented menus in "Parent item" to the ones that the user has access to but that's just a matter of filtering out the forbidden menus. I would like to avoid having to hack the menu module itself, so I am looking for a way to unhook and redefine menu_form_alter() in delegate_menu_admin. I don't want the module to have to rely on things like PECL modules (override_function() from APD is way too intrusive). Depending on other Drupal modules is an option but I'd rather avoid that too. D6 Programmatic creation of a custom content type with fields

I find what seems to be two different approaches for creating fields for a custom content type via a module. One is from drewish, where the field is first added via cck manually, then dumped with var_export(content_fields()) and then added to the content type in the install via content_field_instance_create(). The other is in rfay's Example module, where Randy creates a table for the module in the install and inserts fields into it that are what cck would insert. I'm wondering if the latter removes the need for me to do all the node processing from my module. Also, my content type has one field (other than title and body) which is an image filefield with unlimited instances, and I'm thinking that that same method would have the field being handled by filefield and that the method in Example would require that I manage the _fid, _list and _data db content, etc., so if there's a reason why this would be a better way to do it, or why the first method wouldn't be, I'm missing it. Thanks all, It was a module causing this. Although I was surprised why a module related caching issue would be called in update.php The lighbox2 module was causing an abnormal size to be stored in the cache table, it seems this size is something around my memory limits which I should reduce now that the problem is solved (suggestions?). I did a quick search on the lighbox2 issues and found this, which details this issue. Drupal7 EntityFieldQuery Assistance

Hi Devs I would like some more eyes on my query. It is not producing the SQL I expect. Working with OG for D7, I am looking to select all the group users with a specific state. I would have expected this code to do what I wanted, but, it does not. I have attached the code and sql below. The SQL is the result of running the query on gid = 2 and states = 1. When run, I am getting results for both states 1 and 3. Anyone got any more insight ? Hello all, I've been working on this problem since two days without avail. I have a Drupal site that, for some reason or the other, tries to allocate more than 300 MB of memory on request calls to not only the index.php, but to files such as update.php. The server itself has three live sites and non of them is experiencing any problems. Also note that depending on which page I'm trying to access, I get a different stack trace. We have a copy of our pre-Drupal HTML site and would now like to resurrect a portion of it. Is it possible to have a plain HTML site as a sub-site of the Drupal site? I have done it the other way around, so I suspect it is possible. Are there any gotchas I need to be aware of (other than Apache redirects that have to be removed)?
