Restrcting the number of admins for OG group per Role

Hi, I have Created different Roles and some groups. Few of the groups are common to all the or the multiple roles. Now I have challenge is to restrict the number of admins for that group based on the role. Eg: I have created Groups "Developers","Support Tech" and "Testers" for Role A . Groups "Team lead" and "Sr. Developers" for Role B. Groups "Managers" and "HR's" for Role C. My challenge and need is Role A can allow 1 admin for Groups "Developers","Support Tech" and "Testers", . Role B can have 5 admins for groups "Team lead" and "Sr. Developers".while the Role C have can 10 admins for Groups "Managers" and "HR's". Is there any module to achieve this? Please help me guys. Why is drupal_page_footer() triggering cron?

Hi In D7 I discovered at the end of drupal_page_footer()[1] cron jobs are started. On our website this triggers the search index being updated, which can take minutes. Needles to say that the user doesn't want to wait for this to be finished. I'm curious whether cron is relay called at the end of each page request? My understanding of hook_cron is that it is only called by cron.php. How can I make sure that this does not trigger any long running cron jobs? how to display solr search results?

I have an solr instance populated by nutch. I just want to display search results - coming from existing solr instance - using drupal. What is the easiest way to display search results coming from solr using drupal? P.S. I have alread read about http://drupal.org/project/apachesolr, however it seems that it is used to both, index data already hosted in drupal, and search. Plus my current schema.xml and the one that comes with this module is different. thanks,

views: custom conditions using fields from multiple tables

hi, for a site specific view I'd need to implement a view which's query has a condition that spans multiple tables. It'll look something like: table1.field = 'value' OR table2.field = 'other value' Is this possible using D6/views2 ? Links in node view

I need to add a link as a rendered array to node views. I have accomplished this from a page. The link calls an AJAX function and refreshes a custom module block. Now I need to put a series of links in node views. These will add records to module generated database tables based on the contents of $node, specifically $nid, then refresh a block that will reflect the new record. I am learning much about Drupal 7. I am an experienced developer, but Drupal is so complex, that I seem to be struggling with every step. It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to refresh a block from a content page link. Can someone give me the basics (or specifics) I need to accomplish this next step? Note: I have been posting similar questions on the support list, but am getting almost no responses, so I¹m trying the development list. I thought the development list was probably for Drupal contributors, but maybe not, or maybe you guys can help me anyway.
