Drupal Association support for code sprints--comments and help needed

The Drupal Association has a small budget this year to support Drupal code sprints and we're looking for help in deciding how best to use it. We've put draft guidelines for Drupal Association sprint funding at http://groups.drupal.org/node/27506. We also need a few people who are able to both provide some support to sprint organizers and help decide how to spend sprint funds. How to process "CCK Input Elements" input

The "CCK Input Elements" module allows to add form fields to a cck node. This makes it possible to use a cck node like a webform. Or explained differently: CCK Input Elements makes it possible to have the cck field values not filled in by the node author but the node viewer. My question is: The module doesn't provide any possibility to process the values entered by the node viewer. The description just states that this has to be done by an other module. Could someone point me to such a module or tell me how to process the values? In particular we'd like to send an email containing the user entered values and some other cck field values of the node. Translating database fields

Hello, I'm looking for advice on the proper way to resolve this issue: http://drupal.org/node/571742 Summary: The support module [1] defines four default states ("new", "active", "pending", "closed") and four default priorities ("low", "normal", "high", "critical"). These fields are defined in the database to allow the easy creation of custom states and priorities. Because of this, I'm unsure on how to correctly make them translatable. The t() api documentation page [2] explicitly states, "however tempting it is, custom data from user input or other non-code sources should not be passed through t()." It goes on to explain that doing so can lead to orphaned words, mistranslation of non-English words, etc. My question then is, what is the correct way to make these states and priorities translatable? Yes, they can simply be changed in the database if you'd like to change them to another language, but some websites want the ability to translate them into multiple languages. Additional user account field

I am doing a networking site for some one that is targeting college students. It is important that they have a campus associated with their account. I need a little advice as to how best to approach this. I have a database table of campuses that includes a state field. My first take was to add some JavaScript in the registration form. Users select a state from a select list, which uses AJAX to populate a div with a list of links for that state. Choosing a link then in turn gives a visual indication that a campus has been chosen and populates a hidden input value which was empty, etc. etc. This was not too tough using jQuery and what have you. The next thing I want to do, is I prefer to add a tab for editing the users' campus. I prefer this to adding to the user/edit form. Once again, I will need to have a state select that will use AJAX to query and provide a list. Fortunately, I can probably reuse a lot of the code from the registration form. Can someone please suggest how to add a tab to /user, and if you have any suggestions as to making this less labor-intensive, that would be super! :-) If the whole thing should be tossed, and go with multi-step submissions, please point me the right way on that. views: translate alias to real field

I am developing a module to allow operations between fields; it is similar to views_calc but I use another approach to solve problems with "agregated" fields. Creating recordset displays

Hi all, In many applications I create I find myself doing just one thing - create CRUD interfaces in the admin panel. So far I have been writing code to generate the list of items and everything. Is it possible to create a recordset form using any API in drupal? Here is what I want to do: I want to generate a list for my entities [for example products]. It should be very similar to the Gmail inbox - with a checkbox next to each entry and the ability to sort according to any field. Users should be able to check a set of items and select a drop down menu to perform some action. This should be a form of course. If this isn't possible with the Drupal API out of the box I'd be happy if you can give me a brief outline of how this can be achieved. Thanks in advance. D7 Issues with no documentation
