Inspired by http://drupaldojo.com/files/screencasts/og_panels.mov, I'm trying to install the Organic Groups (og) module, but there is a dependency for panels_views (see below): === Organic groups 5.x-6.0-rc5 Enable users to create and manage their own 'groups' Depends on: Views (enabled), Views RSS (enabled) Required by: Organic groups panels (disabled) Organic groups panels 5.x-6.0-rc5 Enable group admins to create panel pages. Depends on: Organic groups (disabled), Panels (enabled), Panels_views (missing) === Where is Panels_views? It doesn't exist under www.drupal.org/project/panels_views and I couldn't find it on Google either. There is even an unanswered post here: http://drupal.org/node/242291 Yikes, any ideas? Sean

Where can I find a working Drupal AHAH Form example? I'm studing it the hole day, cant put it to work. I used DANGEROUS_SKIP_CHECK in D5, now in D6 that flag is gone. I have to addapt all my modules to use AHAH thanks Feijó

Parallel Vocabularies

A discussion about a feature in the Glossary module has raised an interesting idea, which I'd like to have some comments on. In a few cases, there may be a need to have a "parallel vocabulary" that remains synchronized with its twin. In the case that brought this up (Glossary), one might want to tag nodes with one twin, while the other is used for more descriptive uses (such as flagging glossary terms). I don't think the code would be all that difficult to do, but I was wondering if anyone else felt there was a need for something like this, and if so, could you detail a use case that could help "sell" the module and encourage someone (me) to write it? Add node without node/add

Is there a (programmatic?) way to add a node *without* using node/add/something and still gain access to hook_validate(), hook_insert(), hook_update(), and hook_delete()? Why does Drupal require so much memory?

Hi, I'm getting the following error on a site, "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 20971520 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1077617 bytes) in...sites/all/modules/views-5.x-1.6/ views_cache.inc on line 146" The site basically has a content type with many computed and other fields, but no images or large files etc. So I'm wondering why it requires so much memory. I presume it's something to do with caching? I'd asked the host to increase the max packets allowed and they made it 20M, but that still doesn't work. So I've requested it to be increased to 32M. But I'm concerned that in the future, I'll run into the same problem. Is there another a way to fix this? Drupal on OSX, anyone?

Hi, I fairly new to this group, and have thoroughly enjoyed reading the posts so far. To learn Drupal, I have succesfully set up Drupal 5.7 on a Mac OSX Leopard server, which came preconfigured with Apache/PHP. I had the server on hand so it seemed a cheap way to get started :). Has anyone else tried using Drupal on OSX? Would be interested in comparing notes. I'm not sure if OSX would be a good production server for the long haul, and I wonder if should just ditch it and go to a standard LAMP set up. Any input on this would be appreciated! Setting menu trails by path - hook question

Hi, I am trying to write a module that would set the active menu trail depending on the path. E.g. if the current path is /a/b/c and there is no menu item with the path /a/b/c, then the menu item with the path /a/b (and its parents) will be set as active. The only problem so far is that the code does not work if I put it in hook_menu(!$may_cache). I've tried setting the weight of the module to a higher value, but to no result. This is the sample code I am trying out: function pathtrails_menu($may_cache) { if (!$may_cache) { $location = array(); $location[] = menu_get_item(46); $location[] = array('path' => drupal_get_normal_path($_GET['q']), 'title' => drupal_get_title()); menu_set_location($location); } } The same code works just fine if I put it into another module's page callback function. I guess, I could put the code into hook_nodeapi (just like menu trails module does), but I want this to work for all pages, not just nodes. Should I be using a different hook? Am I missing something else? Maybe there already is a solution to this problem? Thanks in advance, Domas
