Single signon question

Dear all, Probably there are a lot of questions here about Drupal SSO implementation, but my searches did not help me a lot, so sorry in advance. We are running a network of D6 sites (multisite), each site have a different db, with different users, not sharing any tables. Some users, have signed themselves to more sites of the network, creating another complexity layer (same users, different uid). The SSO must permits us to: 1) Normalize already registered users and automatically get them access to all site's network. 2) Same thing as before but for new registered users. fill the multiple select list box

Dear all, i have created a mulitple listbox using '#type' => 'select'. i have some buttons 'add', 'delete', 'clear'. when i click 'add' button i want to add some text in listbox as many as i want. if i click 'delete' i want to remove the items one by one. And if i click 'clear' the listbox should be empty. can you please help me to solve this problem. Thank you Jayakumar

Poll about a new module messing up with JS and CSS aggregation

Hello all, I did a small D7 module that allows site administrators to play with JS and CSS aggregation. It allows site admin to select which files (CSS and JS) among libraries and arbitrary added module files should be aggregated in all pages, thus making the aggregation predictable. The goal of this is to make single JS and CSS files for sites, the same for each page, in order to maximize client cache hit so save bandwidth. This is done by forcing Drupal core to aggregate selected files either at hook_init() time, either at hook_(css|js)_alter() time, and by messing up with aggregation groups and weights. Methodology of this module is quite simple, and I actually use it on a production site and have no side effects for the moment. The best result I could have right now is: - Only two JS files for the full site (all JS libraires, + Drupal.t specific file), against at least three using normal aggregation, different on a per-page basis using the core. - Only two CSS files (all CSS (system and other) libraries + theme specific file), against at least 3 to 4 using normal aggregation, different on a per-page basis using the core. - A glitch (a CSS files with a if  which seems to be a bug ^^) One of its future features will be JS on the fly minification (or using a batch maybe). I wonder if people are interested by such module, if so, I would be pleased to commit it as a new project on drupal.org, if not, I just won't I don't want to pollute the community site module list. *I have developed the module till here : Displays a form and a table which takes input *(built by form api) To this table, I want to add rows when I click on button "ADD CHARACTERISTICS". I should be able to add rows , as long as I use this button. Also the form should not get submitted until I click the ADDTOTABLE . I have created a table using form api. The table has header row, I have used form api's hidden element. The table is designed to take input in similar way how form takes. I want to add rows dynamically. The row's cell are form api's texfield. Creating submit and delete button with checkboxes in html format table

Hi, I have fetched values from database and shown in html format table with the code help fromDrupal Community in my module file something like belowin figure 1. Now I have to create a check box infront of every row for deleting and editing that row values. Above or below the html table I have to create 3 Buttons "NEW","DELETE","EDIT" as shown in figure 2. "NEW" button should redirect me to form module where I have fields for filling form values. Using check boxes I have to delete or edit the data. WebAPI uploads

Hi Drupal Devs, My previous experience with writing a WebAPI was through the Services 2.x module, and the usage was for internal web site to work-horse server communications. The method I used back then for file uploads was to simply place the file to be uploaded to the work-horse server inside a directory under web site's docroot and then pass the file's URL as a parameter to the WebAPI function call that requires the file. At the work-horse server, the heavy lifting is performed by a BASH driven processing pipeline, so the file URL was passed to CURL to somewhere in that BASH pipeline to get the needed file. However, I am starting work on a WebAPI that will be using Services 3.0 and the WebAPI will be publicly accessible. What is the "best practice" for file uploads to a WebAPI? The files being passed through the WebAPI vary from 30K to potentially 100 megs (smaller files are images, medium files are complex data, larger files are video). Any good web resources for this and similar WebAPI architecture information are welcome. Sincerely, -Blake

Voting modules

I am working on updating a voting module which uses VotingApi. One question that has come up deals with deleting votes. VotingApi relies (mostly) on value_type and tag to identify votes. So the problem I have is that multiple voting modules could all use tag='vote' so how would you identify which originated in your modules as opposed to someone else's? I can easily envision a site where some content type is rated (e.g. 0-5 stars) and some just liked or recommended (+ or -1). Has any of you ever had a site where you used more than one voting module (Plus 1, Up/Down, Five Star, etc.); if so, why? Sort nodes based on their position on a menu (views_handler_sort_menu_hierarchy?)

Hi all, I'd like to sort a view of nodes by the position of the nodes within the primary links menu. I found reference to a method that used computed field to calculate a weight. I'm not dead-set against using that, but thought this might be a good chance to write my first sort handler. I turned to the views docs and promptly found views_handler_sort_menu_hierarchy. I haven't delved much further except to triple-check that I don't see anything in the Views UI that seems to correspond to this sort handler. A quick grep of the class name indicates it's probably for books (which makes a lot of sense), though I can't think why it wouldn't also be open for other content types. So my questions are: 1. Any comments from folk about the best way to achieve ordering of nodes by their position in the menu? 2. Has anyone used views_handler_sort_menu_hierarchy? Can someone explain why it's not available by default (at least for a 'general' content type)? Thanks in advance, Andy . . . . . . . views join external table

I have a "legacy" table I need to join to a custom content type. I have already joined this table to {users} with no problem, but I cannot join this to {node}. I tried specifying the cck table, but without luck, after adding a field of my legacy table, views preview returns an ajax error.
