*We try to notify this list when API changes are made in Drupal 7, so contrib and custom developers have a chance to fix their code before they have the pain of figuring out why it's broken. * 1. *Search API Changes: *in (issue <http://drupal.org/node/567100>) a number of search changes were made. The signatures of the *search_data*() and *search_view*() functions were changed. 2. *hook_fields_extra_fields() changed*: (issue<http://drupal.org/node/870292>) If your module implements hook_field_extra_fields() and the return values can vary depending on external conditions (module settings, whatever), you need to call field_info_cache_clear() whenever the conditions changes. 3. *JS and CSS preprocess changed to FALSE*: (issue<http://drupal.org/node/769226>): Where Drupal 7 modules have been using drupal_add_css() or drupal_add_js(), the default was previously to aggregate/preprocess the added file. Security Updates

I've noticed that more and more security advisories are reported by module maintainers. In the past, if I noticed a security problem, I would fix it and commit the change without saying anything. It was sort of embarrassing to me to have an SA filed. However, that didn't mean that users would pick up the fixed version. Are maintainers now flagging their own issues as a way to "force" people to update to the newest code? Nancy

Substitute for the function gmap_draw_map()

Hi Drupalers I need to post in nodes distinct maps of my own (I've my server running with mapserver), I found in the net a code to GMap module that allows me to show my maps on contents using as a base layer map the Google Earth. The example can be found on: http://geoserver.org/display/GEOSDOC/Drupal The problem is that the code uses the function gmap_draw_map(), and searching on drupal.org I could see that the function was removed but I can't found his substitute. Can you help me to replace that function with a similar code? GMap and the White Screen Of Death

Hi there: I've installed drupal 6.17 whit gmap module, It's working fine, I proved the macro code on a node: [gmap|id=map|center=49.2,-123.1|zoom=7|width=600px|height=400px|control=Small|type=Map] And It shown a google map correctly. Polls redirecting to view page instead of node page

Hello, I have a view with a bunch of poles being displayed (using the poll module). The problem is that after submiting a poll (via the views page) the page refreshes and stays on the view page. Any way to get the poll to redirect to the poll node page once the user votes on a poll? Thanks Idan

theming settings form

I am attempting to run the settings form at admin/setting/mymodule for one of my modules through a theme. I have tried using the same method that works for other forms, ie create a theme of the same name, register it and render the form in the theme. This does not work for a system_settings_form. If I try to run it through a theme explicitly I get a WSOD even though the theme only tries to run the form through drupal_render(). I have also tried to set $form['#theme'], that had no effect. Mapping locations for Drupal

Hi All, I have a client that wants a map of florida and Louisiana to have 45 locations on it. I have used gmap dev version and location dev version for this before, but I have only ever gotten it to work on one site. I downloaded the files again and did everything the same (or so I thought). My tries for this are not working. I don't know if it's the server or what... So, what is the best (and most stable) way to get a interactive map where you can enter the locations through a drupal node? SSL pages tough or easy?

I have come here before and I would just like to say I really appreciate this group/board. I have a potential client that wants several pages to include SSL exchange of payroll information. I have not implemented secure pages in Drupal(6). I would appreciate input about this. I have seen a module to secure registration and login before. I am tempted to script it, but...
