How affect a node on a subitem menu ?

Hi, I have created a new node from the Create "content page" (say node/20)... and then i need to affect my node to the sub menu item below. How i can do please ? Because the subitem link I need is to access my node like this : http://127.0.0.1/mysite/?q=node/20 but not as described by my menu : http://127.0.0.1/mysite/?q=menu1/subitem1 I think i could call the "test" callback, loading and theming my node... but maybe is there a simpler way ? How to add comment under menu items

Hi, I'm new on Drupal and I would like to know how can I make properly such comment on items Menu please ? -> each first row is a link and each 2nd row is a comment... - Menu 1 (my explanation) - Menu 2 (other explanation ...) ... The only solution i've found is to do that (below)... but i'm sure it's not a property way... - the only constraint i have is to have the abbility to get the Description field in the underlying menu to display a dynamic comment. but actually, the only trick I've found to get the Description is to parse the HTML string to retrieve the "title" tag to get my text. Not very cool, i think... - actually, to determine the underlying nodes menu, i'm testing her names... is there another way to do that ? Can you help me please ? Introducing a WikiFormat

Hi, I'm working on a WikiFormat module for Drupal 6+ This module will enable users to input content in Wiki-Like markup language. I'm following the WikICreole syntax. I don't think there's a complete solution for this problem (Wiki markup) for D6. And yes, I know about flexifilter and customfilter. Quite a part of the module is over. Actually everything in it is not just for drupal. I'm writing a class which can be used at other places too. Drupal's part is just call the parser in the class. I'm seeking co-maintainers for the same. The project has not yet been created on drupal.org as I didn't create or co-maintained any project. Just submitted patches. problem with drupal_goto

I have some custom nodes and I need some blocks to appear depending on node-type. My approach to solve the problem was replicate "/node/$nid" behavior to "/my-type1/$nid" in order to make blocks visible depending on node-type. If a user entered a view to "/node/$nid" he got "drupal_goto" to the right url. My problem now is that for some node-types /type/$nid works, but /node/$nid stopped working; any hint? Announcing project Forena Reports

Hey all, Just announcing a new project. I've talked before about the power of PHP and SimpleXML and PHP 5.2.x Well I've had some experience trying to build some web reporting software, and I'm hoping I have an idea for yet another killer Drupal app. So I'm just starting to launch project Forena (based on the Swedish verb meaning "to connect") which I am hoping will be a direct competitor to other "enterprise reporting engines" that typically charge $100k US or more per site. The college/university that I work at has been generous enough to allow me to launch this into the world of open source software, and I'm excited about the opportunity. So here's to announcing the launch of Forena Reports will (I hope) revolutionize web based enterprise reporting. (Ok, I admit that it's an ambitious goal) I'm actively seeking co-maintainers who have a passion for enterprise reporting and are tired of the likes of Crystal Reports (et. al) dominating the market I've got what I think is a strong proof of concept module up at http://drupal.org/project/forena and I hope that you'll join me in kicking a tire or two. The report engine is extremely pluggable, and although it currently only has support for PDO supported databases, drupal and Oracle, I'm hoping will have support for many other databases in the future. Some things that might spark interest among the developers: * I'm using a plugin registration technique inspired by drupal's hook_technique that leverages OO programming.. I think it's what drupal core developers might have thought of if PHP 4 hadn't have messed with their OO paradigm, but it is an intersting approach to dealing with the ubiquitious drupal funtion namespace problem. * PDO connections to ANY PDO supported database. * Native support for Oracle and (eventually) Postgres XML. give * An intersting theme engine that allows users to specify report templates with frx:foreach tags. I think this will be really easy for theme developers to wrap their heads around. Anyway, it's a bit early for this announcement, but if you've been thinking about purchasing a large scale enterprise reporting solution, I'd hope you'd consider contributing to Forena Reports instead. If you have any more questions about this module, please feel free to ask. I'd really like to be part of a larger group in this. Thanks for the time, Dave

isn't this what a session.inc is for? There you won't have drupal_http_request, but you could include the file (common.inc?) or you could use curl? Hook_init issue

It's back to the drawing board... I have a module that uses hook_init to check for the presence of a particular cookie. If it is there, then I call an external authentication server (this is mandatory at this customer). This all works fine until... We turn page caching on and all of a sudden, no more hook_init. Okay, read the fine print and it says that's what is supposed to happen. So I switched to hook_boot. Well, apparently is does excute, but the drupal_http_request in the authentication function says there is no such animal. We would really like to turn caching on, but we must have this authentication check too. For the moment we can turn caching off, but one week into the site and we are already taxing the server with traffic. Options? Nancy E. Setting up Drupal User profile email field permissions

Hello People, I am using drupal 5.x, I want to show email field accessible to all users as at the moment it is only accessible to only administrators, on profile page. I tried by pulling view, but it failed. Means: when admin access, say xyz.com/users/member1 , email is showing there. BUT, when a normal member say "member1" access "member2" profile page, like xyz.com/users/member2 , he is not getting email field on profile page. Thanks Udit

form_api: same form called multiple times, wrong form_state values

Hi all, I have a small admin form (2 buttons and a hidden value) that is repeated multiple times (each time the value is different). Now whenever I access $form_state['values'] from the submit function, the hidden value always returns the data from the first form. When I print out $_POST directly I do get the correct data. I've been searching this and it seems this is because the form_state is cached. I couldn't find any workaround though, so for the moment working with $_POST. Anyone know the correct way to do this ?
