Drupal mentorship system?

Following on the Vancouver conference (it was wonderful to meet folks, what a great community), I'm wondering if we have considered or should do some formalized mentorship in Drupal. If you have thoughts, please comment on this forum post: http://drupal.org/node/50060 And re users and taxonomies: Thanks Karoly, Robert, and Grant and others for the suggestions. As usual in this community there's a lot of creative approaches to any given question. I'll have a look at each.

Modules under porting to 4.7

I have ported several of my modules to 4.7, and need a few others ported. Here is an idea: when someone is porting a module, can they post a message to this thread, so others do not duplicate the effort? I already ported indexpage, and fixed some SQL injectiton weaknesses it has. I have a need for the recipe and notify modules. Anyone working on those? If not, then my wife will start the port next week.

View to list only nodes _without_ completed workflow state

I have a new node type, which has 4 possible workflow states. So the nodes can be "(created)", "submitted", "approved", and the last one is "completed". With the excellent views module, I can list the nodes by state for each individual state, but I'd also like to be able to list nodes for all states except those in "completed" state. This seems simple enough, and it almost works except.... I created a view with a filter on "workflow: state" "is one of", and select "approved", "submitted", "(created)", but not "completed", and then add another filter on Node: distinct This almost gives me what I want, except because of the the way workflow works, a node actually has entries for all states, so the "completed" items still show up with their earlier entry. Same problem if you do "workflow: state" "is none of" and select "completed". I can create a view the exact opposite of what I want, with the "completed" status, but not "all except completed" to do a queue of outstanding requests. Is there a way to do this i'm missing? I want to have a selectable field for the views module called "close" that executes a function like this: function job_close() { $job = arg(2); $sid = 15; // Should be configurable. workflow_execute_transition($job, $sid); drupal_goto('job/open'); } I've got it to work using the code below, but its not right. I shouldn't have to use a valid field in the 'fields' section. This also means that you can't have multiple versions, ie one to "approve", one to "close". Anybody got any suggestions on a better way? Drupal.org forum changes

Hello world, I split 'Services and hosting' into 'Hosting companies' and 'Job offers and reverse bounties'. It is now two fora instead of one forum. I also re-categorized more than 180 existing forum topics (which turned out to be quite a job). Permissions bug in 4.7

I have two modules which implement the page types 'public page' and 'customer page'. Access to customer pages is restricted to authenticated users. That is until I enter text into the 'Menu Settings/Title' box, at this point everyone can read the page. Details: I have a menu called 'Customer Login Area' which is only visible on customer pages. I create a customer page, add menu title text and choose 'Customer Login Area' as its parent. At this point the public can read that page. Without the menu entry only authenticated users can read the page.
