Hello there, I'm looking for a mentor to help me out in a couple of things. What's the best way for me to find one? I'm implementing an audioblog module that allows users to publish _and retrieve_ audio entries from their telephones. Users can retrieve entries according to categories, author or publishing date. The good thing is that the module is already doing all of the above. I'm having problems moving to the next steps, though. Ideally, I'd like to: * Convert my module to Drupal. 4.7. What's the best way to create forms and menus? I need help to understand how to do that. * Integrate audioblog with Organic Groups (og) and CiviCRM. I'd love to allow users to create audioblog groups, manage membership, and determine the audience of their messages directly from their phones. In order to do that, it would be great if someone helped me understand the structure of og and CiviCRM. * Improve the way I program for Drupal. I learned the little that I know by myself. I'm pretty sure that I could do much better if I interacted with someone more experienced and had opportunity to discuss questions about tools, good practices, etc. That's it. Should sess_read() call hook_user?

Should sess_read() call hook_user (via user_load)? This question came up due to a module developer's trouble maintaining user state across pages: http://drupal.org/node/49385 I traced through what was happening and came across sess_read() in session.inc which loads up the global $user with the most recent user for the session with some code that looks a lot like what's in user_load(), but it doesn't ever call hook_user -- is this by design? Override a hook

I just submitted a RFE to allow node links to be overridden. http://drupal.org/node/48770 Is there any precedent for overriding a hook? I suspect it isn't really feasible or desirable so the solution to my request would probably have to be something other than a hook but I'm curious if there are any bright ideas out there. form api changes? $_POST values handling changed?

Hi everybody, I'm working on different modules for some project. Two of them has a search feature that basically create a form on a callback hook. Then simply use the values of the form to do some searching on the nodes.. Yesterday I aligned my one week old cvs install to current head and then both of those modules stopped to work. So I'm asking.. There has been form api changes or $_POST values handling changes??? Thanks, Fabio

Form API: Is this possible?

I need to initialize the body field of nodes that are NOT created by my module, taking a piece of the query string to look up the value to use. With version 4.6, I would set the value of $node->body using hook_nodeapi(), $op='form pre'. With version 4.7, I'm initializing the $node->body using hook_nodeapi(), $op='prepare'. If I dump the $form_values array that is passed to hook_alter(), I find $form['#node']['body'] and $form['body_filter']['body']['#default_filter'] contain the value I assign in hook_nodeapi() but the field form doesn't use the value. Is there a nice, straigtforward explanation of how to prefill a form field?
