Can't submit a critical bug report on drupal.org, for path.module

I'm sorry to post this here; I wasn't sure what else to do. I found a critical bug in path.module that causes privileged users to be utterly unable to edit nodes if path.module is enabled. I dug into the problem, found the cause, fixed it, tested the fix, and have a patch ready to contribute. Then I went to drupal.org and tried to contribute the bug report and patch. No matter what I choose for project name and component name, the system will not let me submit the form because it fails to validate. I know my browser has cookies enabled etc., because I'm currently logged in as my user account. Could the maintainer of path.module please contact me off-list so I can send the patch that way? We're going to get a lot of complaints if this bug slips through the release process, and I was afraid that might happen since we're so close, if I tried to just notify the infrastructure team and wait for a response. Organic Group Enhancements

I've created a forum post here: http://drupal.org/node/59082 which outlines a set of Organic Group enhancements CivicSpace Labs is starting for Raven Books of BuyBlue.org. Since it's a long post and I know you all are busy people, I'll sum it up for you. ;) - Allow "tiered" levels of organic groups with different permissions assigned to members of each type - Allow organic groups to each get their own set of taxonomy terms to play around with - Add the ability to upload a custom logo to group home pages (rather than switch the whole theme) - Add an additional option for block visibility to show within groups - Group-based calendars - The ability to search for groups in the same state I'm sort of "cross-posting" this here because in addition to community feedback, I would really love to get feedback from developers about the initial assessments of approaches we've chosen, and whether or not there are more efficient ways to accomplish some of these. So I appreciate any help/guidance anyone can give. -Angie

I had a similar idea a while back I never implemented, only I wanted to do it so people would have to pay with paypal to get access to an email address or contact form. A while back we discussed Oracle's purchased on InnoBase on this list, and the possible ramifications of that on MySQL AB and its future viability. Restricting hook_db_rewrite_sql

I'm having problems getting hook_db_rewrite_sql to restrict its actions to queries where it has business rewriting, and am having difficulty figuring how what to look at in order to do this. Here's the use case. I have two node types (call them "civinode_contact" and "civinode_access") that I want viewable according to a couple of tables that test the current user. This now works (i.e., it makes the right join and does the test I want), but it also tries to rewrite the query that og.module creates to do its own listing in www.example.com/og, at least for the anonymous user: Unknown column 'og.type' in 'where clause' query: SELECT og.nid, n.title, r.body, n.uid, u.name, og.description FROM og og INNER JOIN node n ON og.nid = n.nid INNER JOIN node_revisions r ON r.vid = n.vid INNER JOIN users u ON n.uid = u.uid LEFT JOIN node_access cna ON cna.nid = og.nid WHERE ((og.type != 'civinode_access' AND og.type != 'civinode_contact') ) AND og.directory=1 AND n.status=1 ORDER BY n.nid DESC LIMIT 0, 50 in ......./includes/database.mysql.inc on line 120. How does the views module affect taxonomy term pages?

The views module provides a way to redefine how the taxonomy term pages appear. How is this accomplished without patching the taxonomy module? Is there a hook I don't know about, or does the views module simply override the $menu entry? I have looked briefly through the code in both modules, but the interaction is not clear to me. Both modules are complex. However it works, it's a neat trick. I would like to borrow it. Nic Ivy
