Hello, Performance; improving the speed of Simpletest during development http://drupal.org/node/466972 I tried to follow the above tutorial to speed simpletest, but to no avail. A file is attached to the above page: http://drupal.org/files/mysql-tmpfs.txt The handbook does not say how it should be used. I am using Ubuntu, a Debian derivative. Did anyone here managed to move MySQL database to tmpfs ? tia!

Actions for comments

Hi, Well I need a module to moderate comments by a group of people "moderators" (role). After a lot of research on Google, I didn't get any appreciable results. Do you guys know some module which adds 'Publish Comment' action to the Actions module ? This can be used to mass moderate comments using VBO. If not, I'm thinking of writing one. Give me some ideas. Distributing "bi-modal" Drupal modules

There are a couple of large software projects that are designed to install together with Drupal (CiviCRM is one of them). Typically, a project like this distributes a Drupal module that handles the embedding of the project inside of a Drupal install. Is it even possible for a project like this to distribute either: 1. Both a Drupal 6 *and* a Drupal 7 module (i.e., will Drupal look at the .info files and ignore the "wrong" version), or 2. A single Drupal module that keeps its Drupal-version specific features (changed, new or dropped API calls, hooks with incompatible call signatures, etc.) in .inc files and loads them dynamically? This is not "the done thing", and the module upgrade instructions in the handbook show it would be pretty daunting to do for anything but a trivial module. But is it even possible? Drop Down Menu options

Hello All, I asked a few months ago about the best Drop down menu to use and got the answer Nice Menu's. My client and I have noticed that it has some odd behavior about pausing and not working (especially if the menu line is not active) and now that I actually use more than the first link now, it occurs so much that it is an issue. Is there a way to fix this or a better drop down menu system to use (need a horizontal menu able to do up to 4 levels of information (I will use menu block to split it, but still need the functionality). Consulting about file permissions by role

sending automated email using views

Hello I was looking for a way to send a notification for all users who flagged a node (using the flag module) i can get all of the users through views but am looking for an automated way to notify them about the updates on this node by sending them email is there a module that do such a thing I've seen the views email module but it's not automated and it's really complicated and hard to use i was planning to create a module that will use actions and triggers to send automated emails for user list generated through views but i wont to make sure if there is something ready out there thank you.

Mail script problem: please help

I am using Mime Mail to send mails to users who are opted in to a users mailing list for a certain user role. I had written a similar script for another site, looping through email addresses and invoking mimemail() for each. Unfortunately though I pumped up the memory limit, that script white screened ( haven't checked in too much detail as the "client" is a non-payer), though the script did send out the mails. So for this project, I decided to class it up a bit using jQuery to loop through sending $get requests to the server and load in a "loading" graphic whilst waiting for a response for each mail in turn. I put my mailing script in the docroot since putting it in my module resulted in path errors. Everything works, including sending the emails, loading in the loading graphic per email and then a sent message, writing to the database, etc. EXCEPT for 2 things. Hi Ronan, That's the sort of wrong I like to be! That worked perfectly. I didn't realise also that views created a separate block for each display which dovetailed perfectly into what I wanted to do. Using a bit of Quicktabs for display and it's exactly what I needed.
