Integration of PHP and jQuery into the Drupal platform.

I have PHP code that links to a sports related database I want to integrate into drupal with some jQuery effects. Can this be done on the Drupal platform?

It depends on your definition of page. If you mean creating a piece of content of thr type 'page', it is stored in various tables in your database. The filtered html only allows certain tags, which can be configured. If you need the content to hold more tags, but do not want to add them to the list of those usable with filtered, choose full. Suggestions for Buy a Line Projects

Hi, Some members of this list have already contributed to my initiative to get to Drupal Chicago - Buy a Line. The concept is pretty simple, people can buy a line of code or a sentence of documentation which is offered back to the community via drupal.org. A "line" costs 10USD. So far I've had buyers for 71 lines of code. So far 10 lines have been contributed back to the community. Most of the lines purchased so far haven't specified anything I should work on, so I'd like some input from the community as to where I should focus my efforts. I'm happy to find issues which interest me, but I would prefer to maximise the benefit to the community by getting some recommendations from other developers about areas which need some attention. If you have any ideas on where I should focus my efforts, please reply here or email me off list. http://drupal.org/project/pbs I am assuming you mean something like that, where the fields are stored in the same table. There are advantages and disadvantages to all approaches, this module though, while it hasn't been improved in awhile is the right step towards what you want. It should work with Views as it implements the FieldAPI and Views works with the FieldAPI. Of course, as people have pointed out, make sure you are positive that this will have any performance improvement on your site as it is probably going to break some other modules bad assumptions and it also might have a negative performance impact. O and it also might not work with the lastest FieldAPI. So there is a development cost to this, so its worth evaluating the development cost vs the performance gains. Oftentimes, it is better to throw money at a performance problem first, then code.

It' the very basis of a relational database, so they are made to handle them optimally. One thing to consider with your multiple table approach. What if you want a page listing all content on the site, ordered by create date? You are going to have to get into a very serious query and it will force the database to use filesort and temporary tables. There's no getting around that when sorting by a column distributed amongst multiple tables. This performance impact will be thousands times worse than having all your content types in the single node table. Another issue is keeping unique nids (though not that complex to work out). In Drupal, the nid is an auto increment field. You would want to manage the new nids on your own so that two different content types don't have the same NID. If they do, you would severely break other modules, like comments. >From an overall management stand point, I would keep all the nodes in the same table and look at better caching solutions. If your going to be getting mostly anonymous visitors, then something like Boost (or Varnish if this is a VPS or dedicated server) will give you far more performance gains than anything else. I consider it an issue of quality documentation. When I was first learning module development, CCK was nice, but I could not figure out how to programmatically create or manage CCK fields. How can I use Tokens in CCK?? Please help!

Hello, I have been trying to figure out for weeks how I can use tokens in CCK. My goal is to create a select list and populate it with [user:field-1], [user:field-2], [user:field-3], [user:field-4], and [user:field-5]. So when users are making new content there will be a select list populated with: [user:field-1] [user:field-2] [user:field-3] [user:field-4] [user:field-5] Please can anyone help, I am begin to lose it. Hi everybody: I have some problem with permisions. I like to restrict the option translate when the user view a content, of course, if the user don't is the own. I can't restrict some content type for roles, because, this role then can't list the node in the list of the taxonomy to view., what can i do ? thanks.

theme keeps disabling

I've got a weird problem my theme. I've got 2 custom theme, one default for main website and another admin theme. I also use sections module to simulate a joomla-like admin page. problem here is that admin theme becomes disabled sometimes so admin users see admin page with default theme! so everytime I have to login user/1 and enable admin theme. I have no idea why this happen but kinda feel like mostly when I visit a alias, run cron(not all the crons) or add new section. this one happens everyday or 2. any1 can help me out here?
